'I think I'd better put a few minds at rest', Steve says. 'We're from another dimension where this lady here..', he pointed to Angel...'is Blossom's daughter. This is completely different here, so we probably all have questions. This is Blackheart, her good side, We're collecting these shadow souls up to prevent their corruption spreading across the cosmos'.
He paused.
'What corruption?', Blossom asked.
'Put simply, pure evil', Steve added. 'Oh, this is Timo and the guy who asked about the mask is Hack. His bark is worse than his bite', he grinned.
There was a pause. 'You're British aren't you', Bubbles said.
'Yes. You're Japanese, I take it', Steve replied. Buttercup gave a grin.
'Tea at Sixteen Hundred Hours then?', Blossom asked him.
Angel looked at her. 'Possibly. Depends where we are'.
'We'd better get going', Violet commented.
'Oh, I'm sorry, this is Violet.', Steve remarked. 'And she's right, we had. Where is this thing, Blackheart?'
Blackheart pointed and said 'In that direction'.
'Let's go', Steve said. 'Blackheart, lead the way. But no diving in!!!'. Blackheart looked at him and set off.
Blossom looked at Steve. 'Are you the leader?'
'No', Steve replied while they were flying. 'I just told Blackheart off for diving in to a situation. It's not good fighting practice is it.'
'No', Blossom replied. 'Got any sweets?'
'No. Sorry.' Steve replied. He wondered why....

Blackheart casts Veil of Shadow
While flying down to her destination, Blackheart suddenly stops and waves her arm, creating a cloud of black smoke that engulfs her and everyone else to make them all look like shadows!
"Now we wait." Blackheart says, pointing at the dark alleyway and floating into it, disappearing entirely. Violet follows suit, as do the Powerpuff Girls Z."
"We're just going to hide here?" Blossom asks.
"The Shadow Soul is coming this way. All we have to do is wait to get it." Blackheart replies. After a few minutes of waiting, Blackheart points at a girl with long black hair wearing a scarlet halter top, blue jean shorts, black sneakers, and a key chain with a small teddy bear dangling from her belt. Tucked under her left arm is the Shadow Soul!
"I know that girl; that's Kurokawa Miharu." Blossom speaks up, looking amazed by the revelation. "She's a bit weird, but to really be Oni Blackheart? No way!"
"Let's get her!" Violet says, about to charge, but Blackheart holds her arm out to block her from leaving the alleyway.
"Not yet. Something else is coming..." Blackheart whispers. Miharu walks down the sidewalk carrying the Shadow Soul, suddenly stopping and looking up at the sky. Several black particles appear above her and engulf a sewer lid, causing it to glow black for a moment. The lid suddenly flies off as a huge tentacle bursts out onto the street!
Tentacle attacks Miharu
Attack: Slap
Defense: Hide in Sewer
The giant tentacle sends everyone else on the streets running for their lives except for Miharu, who stands her ground, eying the monster intently. The tentacle lashes out and strikes the girl, snapping off her key chain and knocking her through the air! She drops the Shadow Soul in mid air, landing with a crash in front of the alleyway where everyone is hiding and watching!
Miharu Condition: Unconscious
"Miharu!" Blossom shouts, flying out of the alleyway to check on her.
"The Shadow Soul!" Blackheart shouts as the tentacle snatches it and disappears into the sewer! "We have to go after it!"
"Miharu's hurt! I don't think she's Oni Blackheart after all." Blossom says, tears in her eyes. "We should have helped her!"
Bubbles uses Champagne Catcher
"I think Blossom's right." Bubbles says, creating a large bubble for Blossom to place Miharu on top of. "She had the Shadow Soul yes, but why did she not transform and defend herself unless she is not actually who you thought she was?"
The bubble floats away with Miharu lying on top of it, floating toward the New Townsville Medical Center in the distance. Blackheart shakes her head, looking very puzzled. "How could I have been wrong? I was so sure."
"Hey, it was a mistake. Everybody makes one from time to time." Violet says, trying to reassure her friend. "Don't worry, she'll be fine. We should go after that monster before it gets away!"
Blackheart nods at Violet and the two of them fly down into the sewer.

'Blackeheart is sometimes her own worst enemy'. Steve thought as he followed them into the sewer, the light on the stick switched on to pierce the gloom.
'Angel, stay close', he told her.
'This close enough', came the reply in his ear.
'Yes. Is that thing something you've come across before', Steve asked the girls. 'If not, then we can retrieve the Shadow Soul and run. If it is, then we retrieve the Shadow Soul and run like the wind.'
Bubbles giggled.
'And, will that girl be OK', Steve asked.
'I hope so', Buttercup said.
'Look, there's Violet. Blackheart must be nearby'. Blossom stated. The group flew over.

"I smell a trap." Timo said. "Whose to say that monster isn't a HIM's lackey?"

"Of course it's a trap," Hack says as he follows the group. "But it's our only lead. We'll need to spring it carefully, like a bomb squad doing a controlled detonation." He turns the power on the ion cannon down to hand-grenade level. "I wonder, though... if that Miharu kid isn't this world's Blackheart, why would she have even had the Shadow Soul to begin with?"

"Good question." Timo answered. "If she truly isn't Blackheart of this dimension like the girls said, that would suggest she was a decoy. ... But that can't be true. If she was a decoy then... they already knew we were here from the start and planned this... to lure us all here. This is not good at all!"

'Of course the other possibility is that we're not chasing the real Shadow Soul. All we see is an orb with a light in it. That would be easy to replicate without any form of magic.'. The other two looked at him. Angel became visible beside him.
'So we are chasing this false one while...'. The sentence was allowed to tail off.
'But Blackheart sensed it', Timo said.
'She sensed something. With a little magic, the false one could be enchanted for her to sense i.', Steve answered. 'Of course it could be wrong. Where is Blackheart anyway.'
''Tha means Black'eart', Angel took the mickey, mainly to lighten the mood.

After a long chase through the sewer tunnel, Blackheart finally flies upward to a hole leading out of the sewer, leading her to the ruins of an old village.
"The Shadow Soul has been taken there." Blackheart remarks, pointing at a building that sort of looks like a dilapidated mausoleum. "I can sense an incredibly powerful evil presence; it must be Grandfather."
Blackheart holds out her arm and attempts to focus on something, but when nothing happens, she opens her left eye and frowns. "I cannot take the Shadow Soul away from here through force of will alone. We will have no choice but to go inside and confront Grandfather ourselves."
"Fine by me." Buttercup says with a smirk, brandishing her hammer. "I'm looking forward to putting a stop to HIM once and for all anyway!"
Buttercup suddenly charges past Blackheart and through the doors of the mausoleum by herself! "Buttercup, wait, there could be traps!" Blossom calls out, but it is already too late.
"We should go with her so she isn't going at this alone." Siryn suggests. Violet nods in agreement and flies in, followed by Siryn, then Blossom and Bubbles.
Blackheart walks through the doors and casually strolls into the room with the spiral staircase leading down. Steve, Angel, Timo, and Hack arrive and take positon behind her. Her eye flashes red for a moment and she looks up to see...
"You're not my Grandfather!"
...a demon that bears a strong resemblance to Him with his similar looking face and giant lobster claws for hands, but his skin has a yellowish hue, the huge fluffy collar he wears is a dark purple instead of pink, his belt is a yellow sash with a heart shaped sapphire, and instead of high heeled black boots, he has on black jester shoes and mismatched striped socks that make up the height difference! He also appears to have red hair in the shape of a jester's hat on his head, and a red goatee instead of a black one.
"Grandfather? Me? Ho ho ho!" The demon looks down at Blackheart and grins as widely as though he really were Him! "Oh no no no, you are not one of my children, nor any of my children's children, so you are right; I could not possibly be your grandfather. In fact..."
HIM attacks Blackheart
Attack: Claw
Defense: Black Dust Shield
"...you look more like one of HER children!" He suddenly shouts, swinging his claw at Blackheart!
Blackheart attacks HIM
Attack: Punch
Defense: Parry
Blackheart smacks away the demon's claw and throws a punch of her own at HIM, but her fist passes harmlessly through the demon, causing a puff of black dust particles to appear and surround her.
HIM attacks Blackheart
Attack: Black Dust Strangle
Defense: Black Dust Shield
"Foolish child; do you think to defeat the very essence of chaos and evil itself with her bare hands?" The demon asks her, sounding actually polite about it! The black particles fly onto Blackheart's body and stick to her clothes and skin.
Blackheart attacks Him
Attack: Shockwave
Defense: Rage Flare
"Good night my dear. Enjoy your eternal rest." The grinning demon says, but is shocked when a wave of force exerts from Blackheart, knocking him back and forcing the black dust from her body! Blackheart's evil eye has revealed itself as she is now surrounded by an aura of dark flames.
"THERE IS NO TIME FOR REST!" Blackheart shouts in her evil voice at the demon! "NO MORE GAMES! WHERE IS THE SHADOW SOUL YOU HAVE TAKEN, SWIPED, STOLEN FROM ME?"
The demon smiles at Blackheart, seemingly unintimidated by her sudden change in demeanor! "Temper temper child. If you ask nicely, perhaps I will tell you... but then again, perhaps I want to keep it for myself."
"You want it? YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF ITS POWER!" A new, unfamiliar female voice shouts down at the demon!
Oni Blackheart attacks HIM
Attack: Shadow Slash
Defense: Parry
A blur of black and red zooms past the demon, the sound of some kind of blade slicing through the air is heard as the demon is struck and disintegrates into black particles!
"Oni Blackheart, so you have finally come." The demon says as the blur stops, revealing a teenage girl with long black hair, albino white skin, and large red wings! She is wearing a black leotard and skirt, as well as red gloves and boots and a dark gray jacket, all of which are marked with a black heart! On her right arm appears to be some kind of sharpened metallic blade in the shape of another wing. She looks up at HIM with two blue slitted eyes with red pupils!
"Do you even think you are capable of controlling the power you snatched away from this small one?" Oni Blackheart questions HIM, aiming her blade in his direction. "Can you even begin to fathom what it is capable of? No, you cannot. If you will not give it back to its rightful owner, then I will take it from you myself!"
"Oh you and your little sister are free to try." The demon says with a confident smirk. "Try as you might, all your dark power can do nothing to me."
Elsewhere, the Powerpuff Girls Z and Violet have arrived at the basement, finding an open coffin where the Shadow Soul is currently sitting. "Look, there it is!" Violet says, pointing toward it as she flies over to grab it.
Him attacks Violet
Attack: Kick
Defense: Flame Warp
"I'll take that if you don't mind." Him says in his feminine voice, a wall of fire appearing in front of Violet as a high heeled boot flies out, striking her hard in the chest and knocking her back!
Bubbles uses Champagne Catcher
Violet flies toward the far wall, but lands on a large Bubble that cushions her fall. "Whew, thanks." She says to Bubbles.
Violet Condition: Broke a Sweat
Him steps out of the wall of fire and picks up the Shadow Soul. "While my granddaughter and those meddlesome pests fight upstairs against the other versions of us from this reality, I shall use this Shadow Soul to begin the corruption of THIS WORLD!" He says, finishing his sentence in his loud, evil voice!"
"Not if we have anything to say about that!" Blossom shouts, pointing at Him. Him looks at the four other girls with Violet and chuckles.
"Ahh yes, the Powerpuff Girls Z. I suggest you go home and forget any of this happened, BECAUSE YOU ARE WAY OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE WITH ME!"
Him attacks Powerpuff Girls Z
Attack: Corruption Blast
Defense: Flame Warp
Him holds up the Shadow Soul, firing a concentrated blast of dark energy from it at the girls!
Siryn defends with Bass Shield
"Don't think it will be that easy!" Siryn shouts back, swinging her microphone and creating a shield of golden light that blocks the dark blast!
Buttercup attacks Him
Attack: Hurricane Lutz
Defense: Spin
"Ha! You're all talk, so let's see how well you talk after I knock your teeth down your throat!" Buttercup shouts, spinning and holding out her hammer. "HURRICANE LUTZ!" she shouts as the hammer gives off a bright green light, slamming into the wall and knocking a huge hole as Him disappears! "Where'd he go?" She asks, looking around for Him.
Him attacks Buttercup
Attack: Claw
Defense: Flame Warp
"RIGHT HERE!" Him shouts as he reappears, striking at Buttercup, who manages to hold up her hammer to block the strike, but is hit with such force that she slides backward past Blossom, Bubbles, Siryn, and Violet!
"Whatever that orb is, it's made him super strong!" Buttercup tells the other girls. "I hate to admit it, but I think we might need more help with this one...

'Or maybe not', Steve said quietly as the scene before him discounted the theory. Angel was beside him and looked up at the monster that HIM had become. 'Angel, you take the Shadow Soul when you can and vanish with it. We'll distract him.' Angel looked at the scene before her.
'So I don't get to fight him then?', she asked.
'Possibly. I have no doubt that you can. Then take Blackheart's place while she does what she says she'll do'.
Angel turned invisible again and waited for her moment. Steve and Blossom had taught her tactics as well as fighting skills. Steve joined the Powerpuff Girls in the fight with the monster. HIM didn't seem to notice as he was fighting the girls. He went behind him and kicked him as hard as possible in what he assumed was the neck. The monster turned to face him.
'Oh, you and your friends want to join in too?', HIM said.
'No more then we have to, old chap', Steve replied in his best English accent. Him lashed out with his claw but Steve was quicker and got out of the way. HIM looked really angry as he went for Steve. Buttercup saw that he was distracted.
'All of us, same spot.', Blossom ordered them. The three girls came forward as one and gave the monster a giant kick. Buttercup followed up with a blast with the hammer.

When Timo saw HIM, the first thing he thought he was that he was a clown, but after seeing how the attacks seemed to not have much effect, he created another ice staff. He was worried about Blackheart now, though.
"I hope she calms down before she touches that Shadow Soul." He then looked at HIM angrily. "I don't care how powerful you are. No one is immortal!"
Timo attacks HIM

Defense: Ice Shield
Timo aims at HIM and fires his ice beam from both of them at HIM.

While the rest of the group goes down to pursue the Shadow Soul, Hack stays behind with Timo to defend Blackheart. "And if the power of darkness can't hurt you," Hack says, "what about the light of a proton beam?" He turns the ion cannon down to its lowest setting, to shoot a continuous stream of low-powered particles. Against most targets this setting is harmless, but Hack hopes his unconventional weapon will work against an unconventional enemy. He points the barrel at HIM. "Who ya gonna call? ME!"

The Ice Beams slam into HIM, and actually sends him reeling! "Oh no!" He shouts, shivering and sneezing. "Brrr... my one weakness... how did you know?"
HIM Condition: Defeated - Frozen
Hack's Ion Cannon answers his question, shattering the ice and causing HIM to vanish in a cloud of black dust. "Noooo! I'll be back, whoever you are!" He shouts as he fades out of view.
HIM Condition: Gone
The combined blast from the Powerpuff Girls Z sends Him reeling, but leaves the demon seemingly unaffected. "HA HA HA! So long as I hold the Shadow Soul, I am invincible!" Him roars in his evil voice. As if on cue, the Shadow Soul suddenly glows in Him's hand as he tries to aim it at Powerpuff Girls Z, Violet, Angel, and Steve. "What? What is happening?"
Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Siryn attack Him
Attacks: Jawbreaker Shoot/Staff Strike/Swing Sonic/Feedback Hit
Defense: Bass Shield
While Him is distracted, Powerpuff Girls Z make their move! A combined hit from Blossom's yo-yo, Bubbles' wand, an energy blast from Buttercup's hammer, and a melee swing from Siryn's microphone that causes a loud feedback noise on impact strikes Him as the Shadow Soul suddenly escapes his grasp! The orb flies up out of his reach as he is knocked head over heels through a wall, which bursts into flames as Him disappears!
Him Condition: Beat Up
"No! Curse you all; I was so close!" Him roars in his evil voice! "The Shadow Soul will be mine!" He shouts as his claw appears to grab it again, but the Shadow Soul dodges his claw and flies into the hand of Oni Blackheart, who pulls it out of his reach!"
"You're wrong; this artifact is too powerful for the likes of you!" Oni Blackheart replies, aiming her arm blade in a seemingly random direction.
"Oni Blackheart! Now she's got the Shadow Soul!" Blossom exclaims. "We have to get it away from her!"
Bubbles attacks Oni Blackheart
Attack: Bubble Champagne
Defense: Parry
Oni Blackheart attacks Him
Attack: Black Void
Defense: Deflect
I"ll get her!" Bubbles exclaims, waving her staff and firing a volley of bubbles at Oni Blackheart, but her target simply turns and slashes the blade on her arm, cutting them down before they can hit her.
"Wait your turn Powerpuff Girls Z; this is a bit more important than fighting you right now!" Oni Blackheart shouts down at them, turning her attention back at Him, who has vanished again. "Now then, where was I? Oh yes..."
Oni Blackheart slashes the bladed wing on her arm, creating a swirling blast of dark energy that strikes Him, forcing the demon back into view!
Him Condition: Bloody
Much to everyone's amazement, Oni Blackheart's attack has cut Him's flesh in several places, causing him to bleed profusely! "Impossible! YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Him roars at Oni Blackheart and disappears.
Blossom attacks Oni Blackheart
Attack: Taffy Spin
Defense: Parry
"You can't get away from me!" Oni Blackheart shouts, aiming her weapon and preparing to fire the Black Void again, but Blossom shoots her yo-yo out, spinning it around Oni Blackheart and tying her up!
Oni Blackheart Condition: Perfect! - Restrained
"That's enough!" Blossom shouts, pulling on the string in an attempt to reel Oni Blackheart in.
Oni Blackheart attacks Blossom
Attack: Seismic Throw
Defense: Break Free
"Fool! He got away because of you!" Oni Blackheart shouts back in protest, grabbing the end of the yo-yo and swinging it with such force that Blossom is actually lifted off the ground and slammed into the ceiling! Blossom's yo-yo unwinds and she falls back toward the ground, but Buttercup manages to jump up and catch her.
Blossom Condition: Battered
Oni Blackheart Condition: Perfect!
Violet attacks Oni Blackheart
Attack: Scorch Kick
Defense: Flip
"You're not leaving here with that orb!" Violet shouts, flying up at Oni Blackheart and attempts to hit her with a flurry of fiery kicks.
Oni Blackheart defends with Dodge
Seeing Violet coming at her, Oni Blackheart moves out of the way of her kicks. "I wasn't going to; I fully intend to give the Shadow Soul back to its rightful owner!"
"That would be me then." Blackheart replies in her evil voice, walking down the spiral staircase. She holds out her hand to Oni Blackheart, who is about to hand her the Shadow Soul!"
"No wait, you don't understand; you can't give it to that one!" Violet shouts, jumping between the two Blackhearts before the exchange can be made. "Someone cover Blackheart's eye, quick!"
"Stand aside; this is the way it should be." Both Blackhearts say to Violet as Oni Blackheart tries to push her out of the way, but Violet uses all her strength to resist being moved.

After this world's HIM is defeated, Hack and Timo are free to follow the two Blackhearts to the Shadow Soul. They arrive just as Violet puts herself between the Voidbringer and the Shadow Soul. When Hack hears Violet's plea, he holsters his weapon and sneaks up behind their Blackheart. The doppelgänger is distracted. Now's my chance to do... THIS! He quickly pulls Blackheart's hair over her evil eye and holds it shut with both hands. "You!" he barks at Steve. "Rope! Tie this down! Everyone else, get the Shadow Soul!" He feels Blackheart struggling. "I don't know how long I can hold her like this!"

Timo aims his ice staves at Oni Blackheart. "You know, I think even YOU don't know the power that Shadow Soul has. We've seen its effects and it's just too powerful for any living creature to handle."
Timo attacks Oni Blackheart

"That's why I'll never let you give that Shadow Soul to evil Blackheart!" Timo said as he dashed at Oni Blackheart and aimed his attack at the hand that held the Shadow Soul.
