The RRB's could be used if used correctly. Do not use the romantic angle, too predictable. Instead, I'd smarten them up and make them a force to be reckoned with. Some character development in the show would result, because they girls would at last have an opponent on the same footing. If the RRB's weren't used the writers should KILL THEM OFF once and for all, so the show can move on. Age them a few years, but do not turn them into prepubescent tarts. Thanks. Now I got those Clipsville brats in my head again. -_-

I wasn't going there ;-) I would hope the animators would redesign them appropriately

The thing about Cartoons is that the characters can grow up, or stay in a timewarp. The 'other' version of the Powerpuff Girls has really not worked and that is because of the way they remade them. And don't let me get started on Bleedman's stuff.
The problem with, say, moving them up a year in school, is what do you do with Miss Keane?
Some things are best as fan fiction, which is a good way of keeping the fan base alive and inserting new characters, letting the professor marry Ms. Keane, letting them grow up, tie ins with other TV series or even, God forbid, romance with the RRB.
All these things are possible because of the basic plot of the show. The romance between The Professor and Ms Keane was hinted at, nothing more. I remember one fan who loved Ms Keane! What of him if they marry in the show.
The things we can do are with the Villains. There is no end to that. A few jokey episodes always work. We have two which go back to the past. Where is the 'Powerpuff's in Space' story?
Look at Scooby Doo, or The Flintstones. The characters have not grown older in how many years. And of course they didn't in Powerpuff Girls Rule' either.
It'll be back. Trust me.
Cheers,
Blossomgb

Still in elementary school in the same grade, that's where. And they haven't really aged a bit. Not to mention Maggie. That's the old phenomena in cartoon world what I'd like to call "eternal time." Look at the 80's cartoons! Same thing.

Well, also there's nothing wrong with an alt-season or 2 that takes place in another "time."

Am I the only one on here who does not watch The Simpsons or Pokemon?
You are right though Jay. If it's done properly that is. So far, nobody has managed to, apart from a few drawings on Deviant Art. (I'm not a member because I couldn't draw with two hands, let alone one.)
Cheers,

I strongly doubt it. (Craig McCracken himself seemed to have disappeared, too. What happened to him? Busy raising kids with his wife?) But fear not...PPGs are always in our hearts; now young people are constantly FAVORITING my old PPG stuff right and left on DA lately.

A lot of artists have tried to redesign the PpG, myself included. But I'll always prefer drawing them as I originally saw them. Three little kindergartners who would give you a knuckle sandwich for dissing them. ;D

As for their Legacy, well...we'll see.

I certainly hope a new PPG special will emerge again in the future. If they do ANOTHER special....they really should make "Deja View". I want to see the Powerpunks!
