Variety reports that Cartoon Network will bring back the Powerpuff Girls as a series in 2016. No other details, apart from the notation that the recent special Dance Pantsed did well enough to warrant a new series.

I am pleased as I said this would happen all along. But... The Animation and Story Short Cuts of Dance Pants did rather worry me a little. I hope that the new series does not go down that route!
