The two portals leading to Violet's home and the others' home disappear, leaving the third one. "This portal is where we are going. I can sense the sword Reflection is there. We must go and find it and with it, the hero who wields it."
Blackheart steps through the portal, followed by Violet, Steve, Angel, Hack, Timo, and the Powerpuff Girls. On the other side, the group finds themselves hovering over a salt flats desert. Blackheart surveys her surroundings. As the others look around at the gloomy area.
"What is this place?" Bubbles asks, not liking her current environment. "It's so lifeless and creepy here; like a haunted desert or something."
"At least this place makes sense for a traveling swordsman looking for adventure to go." Blossom replies, pointing at a path on the ground that appears to have been paved in bones! Bubbles cringes at the sight of the morbid path and looks away, shivering in fear.
"Don't be scared Bubbles, I'm sure we're the strongest ones hanging around in this place." Buttercup remarks, trying to raise Bubbles' confidence. "Besides, Timo's here to keep you safe."
"I'm going to take a guess and say we are going to have to follow it." Violet says, to which Blackheart nods. "Thought so."
"This place could be dangerous. We should stay low and move cautiously." Blossom suggests. Blackheart nods in agreement and lands upon the path of bones, walking along with Theo in her arms. Right behind her it Violet, who chooses to remain floating and not touch the path of bones.

Hack floats alongside Blackheart, a few inches above the ground, his gun charged and ready. "Who would even make a path like this?" he asks no one in particular. "This place is so desolate, the bones must have come from somewhere else. And at that point, you could bring in anything as a building material. This is just being deliberately sinister."

Timo flew next to Bubbles, who was shivering from fear. "Relax, Bubbles. Whoever did that road is long gone by now."
Timo looked at the bone road. "But this kind of road makes me think of the undead creatures, necromancers. Can't think of anyone else who'd do this kind of thing with bones."
Bubbles got frightened at that enough to grab hold of Timo. "Don't scare me like that, Timo."
Timo put his hand on Bubbles' hand. "Like I said, there shouldn't be anything for us to be afraid of."

'They're dead bones, that's all. I think somebody's been watching too many horror films', Buttercup remarked. She then looked at Angel who was looking forward and hoping again that Steve or Blossom didn't twig as to how good that Angel thought some of his horror films were.
'Just keep low and carry on', Blossom told them.
'Can everyone see in this light', Steve asked everyone. He didn't want to put his stick light or the torch in his pockets on because they might be seen.
There were a few nods.
In the distance, unknown to the group, somebody was watching them...

Walking along the path, the group can see what appears to be a crude village comprised of tents and spiked barricades. "The bone path appears to lead there." Violet comments, pointing at the village. "They're likely the guys who paved it, so they're probably not the friendly type."
"URUK ZOK SAGER DAR!" Someone behind the group bellows as what sounds like a warcry! The group turns around to spot what at first appear to be a bunch of marauders on horseback, carrying nets and large spears. As they draw closer, it becomes apparent that the marauders are not men riding horses.
"Centaur!" Blackheart shouts. "This must be their village."
"They don't look willing to listen to reason." Violet comments, examining their angry expressions. "Should we run or fight?"
"I say we fight!" Buttercup says her choice, charging at the centaur stampede.
Centaur attacks Buttercup
Attack: Spear (Stone)
Defense: Parry
Buttercup attacks Centaur
Attack: Tackle
Defense: Flight
The centaur at point thrusts a flimsy spear made of wood and stone at Buttercup, shattering the weapon harmlessly against her as she slams into the creature's chest, grabbing it by the horse end and flying high into the air with it!
Centaur Condition: Bruised - Restrained
Buttercup Condition: Perfect!
Buttercup attacks Centaur
Attack: Divebomb Suplex
Defense: Flight
With the centaur in her arms, Buttercup arcs and flies headfirst toward the ground, releasing the monster and slamming it hard into a pile of rocks below, severely crippling the beast! "Thanks for flying Powerpuff Air. Don't come again!" Buttercup remarks with a smirk, dusting her hands.
Centaur Condition: Broken
The other centaurs continue their charge at the others, who are all more than ready for them.
Violet attacks Centaur
Attack: Leg Sweep
Defense: Duck
Bubbles attacks Centaur
Attack: Thunder Clap
Defense: Flight
Blossom attacks Centaur
Attack: Ice Breath
Defense: Flight
Blackheart attacks Centaur
Attack: Big Bang Laser
Defense: Block
Violet flies under one of the monsters and kicks its front legs out from under it, causing the beast to fall into a kneeling position. The remaining Centaur trip over the kneeling one as Bubbles sends a shockwave at the Centaurs by slamming her arms together. Several more of them trip over their hooves and collapse as Blossom inhales and blows ice at them, freezing the creatures.
Centaur Stampede Condition: Defeated - Frozen
Blackheart aims her arms and fires a massive red beam at the frozen centaur, shattering them into rapidly melting shards!
Centaur Stampede Condition: Destroyed
"Great work girls!" Blossom says, flying over to the crippled centaur on the rocks. "We even still managed to keep one alive for questioning."
"You'll probably have to talk to him Bubbles, since he speaks some backwards fantasy world talk." Buttercup suggests. Bubbles nods and floats over the injured survivor.
"Grauku shojam tuk makrom!" The centaur shouts at Bubbles, sounding angry and willing to continue to fight despite his severe injuries.
"Uja. Shurop gelkis quilbo." Bubbles says to the monster. The centaur grunts in pain and shakes its head in response.
"Augmo traka shunswipt maz zuruga Sorwin." The centaur growls at Bubbles.
"Maz zuruga Sorwin? Durig mag zo!" Bubbles shouts angrily at the centaur. The centaur laughs at her in response!
Bubbles attacks Crippled Centaur
Attack: Vaporize
Defense: None
The centaur continues to laugh even as Bubbles' eyes start to glow a bright red, firing a large eyebeam that disintegrates the centaur, leaving nothing but its broken bones.
Crippled Centaur Condition: Destroyed
"What happened Bubbles? What did he say?" Blossom asks.
"The centaur said his clan cornered a Sorwin in a valley northeast of here. That they've probably already killed him!" Bubbles answers.
Blackheart closes her eye and concentrates. "Reflection is northeast of our location, but it is currently moving around. I believe Quintin must be fighting the centaur clan as we speak."
"All right then, let's hurry up and help him out!" Blossom shouts, leading the charge.

"Centaurs, huh?" Timo said as he followed Blossom. "This is going to be interesting."
On the way, Timo felt highly surprised at Bubbles for doing what she did. On the other hand he knew Bubbles was a hardcore fighter, but that was usually when needed. This time it had been a crippled centaur. Enemy or no enemy, Timo thougt as he looked at Bubbles, that kind of fate is a bit too cruel for a living creature no matter what the circumstances.

'So we follow her then', Steve said to Blossom. 'Just one thing you should be aware of.', he added, quietly so that Blackheart couldn't hear. 'Blackheart tends to dive into situations without thinking. We nearly got eaten by a giant worm at one point.'
Blossom looked at Steve, then Angel. 'I see. Go on.
'Well, I have told her off about it, but be on your guard.'
And thanks for the tip off. What happened to the worm?' Blossom wondered out loud.
'It's an ex-worm. It has ceased to be.', Angel chipped in. They both wondered where the heck she'd come up with that one from. A bit young to watch that surely!
'Why', Blossom asked. 'It wouldn't have eaten him anyway', she grinned at Angel.
'It was going to try', Steve pointed out.
'Get bad indigestion', Blossom said with a laugh. 'Anyway, we need her to get back to our space and time, so we can't lose her.'
They carried on flying behind Blackheart in their quest for Reflection and Quintin,..

"Eliminating the last centaur may have been ill-advised," Hack notes. "A hostage could have allowed us to retrieve the swordsman peacefully." He shrugs. "Then again, as effortlessly as the others fell, we may not need a bargaining chip. That's the nice thing about these medieval places: they're easy to overpower. Except for the wizards, we're gods among men here!"

Timo looked at Hack. "Even if we had a hostage as a bargaining chip, I don't think the others would comply. In fact I think they would kill the hostage themselves and then Quintin, unless they already have. They're too proud as warriors and fight to the last man no matter who they are fighting against. Otherwise they would have been scared of us right from our first attacks."

"Best we make haste; the sooner we stay here, the less time we have to save the Sorwin." Blackheart remarks. She takes off into the air, followed by Violet, Steve, Timo, Hack, Angel, and the Powerpuff Girls.
It doesn't take long to reach the location where Blackheart can sense Reflection. An army of centaur are all in a circle around a large ring of corpses of their brethren. Their spears are at the ready as they approach something moving around in the center that appears to be a green blur flashing blue lights and golden flames.
"It's him! That's Quintin!" Blackheart says, pointing at the spot the centaur have surrounded.
Quintin attacks Centaur
Attack: Reflection
Defense: Spin
Like moths to the flame, the centaur charge at the slicing and slashing Reflection, getting carved up left and right despite attacking the hero on all sides! As the bodies fly, the heroes spot what appears to be a young man with brown hair and gold eyes wearing a green traveler's cloak, red gloves and boots, and a silver belt with a scabbard.
"Wow this guy is incredible!" Violet says, watching in awe. "That guy beat that many centaur all by himself?"
"Even still, probably best we help him out." Blossom comments.
"It's not everyday I get to fight guys with two butts each to kick!" Buttercup says, smirking and diving at the centaur horde.
"Let's make them pay for all the people they've killed to make their road!" Bubbles says, following right behind Buttercup.

After Buttercup's and Bubbles' dive into the centaur horde, causing heavy damage on the way, some of the centaurs notice Blossom, Hack, Steve, Angel and Timo and charge at them immediately without hesitation.
"Here we go again." Timo said as he created an ice staff.
Centaur Stampede attack Timo
Attack: Spear Throw (Stone)
Defense: None
Timo attacks Centaur Stampede
Attack: None
Defense: Ice Shield (normal)
Few of the centaurs throw their stone spears at Timo.
"They really don't know fear, do they?" Timo said as he created an ice shield in front of him, causing the stone spears to get smashed to pieces upon impact.
Timo attacks Centaur Stampede
Attack: Ice Beam
Defense: None
"I guess we have to teach them." Timo said as the ice shield disappeared.
Timo aimed his ice staff at the few incoming centaurs and fired his ice beam at them. The beam froze all of them immediately.
Timo Condition: Perfect
Centaur Stampede Condition: Perfect - Frozen
"Too easy." Timo said. He looked as the rest of the centaurs attacked others.

'They are distracted easily', Steve thought as he powered up his paralysis stare. A load of them found they couldn't move forward or backwards. Angel went invisible and started kicking and punching the centaurs, who were a little un-nerved by the fact that they couldn't move and swere being chopped down by something invisible.
Meanwhile, the other girls were fighting the centaurs two to the dozen. Bubbles and Buttercup were going at them with fists and kicks and they were easy to kill. Blossom was ploughing a way through them to Quintin. The problem with them wasn't their powers but the fact that there were so many....

As everyone fights through the centaur, Violet manages to get to the heart of the horde, reaching out with her hand. "Hey, grab on! I'll fly you out of there!" She shouts to Quintin. The Sorwin doesn't recognize Violet at all, but sees this as a perfect opportunity to escape and reaches out to her. Violet grabs Quintin by the arm and flies up, pulling him away from the marauders. "You okay?" She asks him as she flies up out of reach of the centaur and their spears.
"I'm fine, thanks to you friend." Quintin tells her. "You are a Powerpuff if I am not mistaken?"
"Me? No, not exactly. Blair's dad came up with a name for what I am. What was it again?" Violet thinks for a moment. "Ah, that's right, a 'Half-X', which means a human with Powerpuff features and some powers."
"So you are a half human Powerpuff? Regardless, I am grateful for your aid." Quintin says as Violet sets him down safely away from the battle.
"Wait here okay? Me and my friends will handle the rest of them." Violet tells the Sorwin hero. She then turns and flies back to the heart of the battle. "I got Quintin out of the way. Let's finish them off!" She shouts.
Blackheart attacks Centaur Horde
Attack: Psychokinesis
Defense: Flight
Her eyes glowing a bright green, Blackheart grins and lowers her head as the centaur suddenly rise into the air against their own will! Unable to move or position themselves to attack, the centaur are completely vulnerable!
Centaur Horde Condition: Restrained
Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup attack Centaur Horde
Attack: Powerpuff Starburst
Defense: Flight
"Starburst Formation!" Blossom calls out as Bubbles and Buttercup fly into position. The girls fire a combined ray of explosive energy from their hands, hitting the center of the cluster of floating centaur and blowing them all up! Bits of fur, bones, hooves, legs, and other chunks of horsemen rain down onto the desert below.
Centaur Horde Condition: Destroyed
With the battle over, the Powerpuff Girls descend toward Quintin, who smiles and waves at them. "I must admit, I was not expecting a rescue, let alone from the Powerpuff Girls." He says. "Do you still have the Wonderian Silver Jewelry I gave you so long ago?"
"Yeah, and we still use them if we need 'em." Buttercup says to the hero. "Good to see you again. What've you been up to in the last few years?"
"I've been exploring, fighting evil, helping the downtrodden." Quintin answers. He turns to Violet and smiles. "So tell me, which one of you is the mother of this girl who saved me?"
"None of them are; my mother is a human." Violet answers for the girls. "My father is the Powerpuff in my family. His name's Blazer."
"This is my daughter." Blossom tells Quintin, patting Angel on the head. "Her father is also right here; he's one of your rescuers too." She says, nodding to Steve. "We named her Angel Felicia."
"Felicia..." Quintin says, his gold eyes twinkling for a moment. "I have not heard her name in so long. Is she doing well?"
"I'm afraid that is why we came to see you." Blackheart says, descending toward the Sorwin. "Because of me, the wizard Motrax has obtained the Black Heart, a powerful artifact that will give him total control over the Black Void. His powers have become greater than ever before as a result, and I need your help to get it back."
"Motrax, I remember him." Quintin says. "The last time I faced him was when I gave the Wonderian Silver Jewelry to the Powerpuff Girls. Is he really still causing trouble after all this time? Of course I will lend my aid, on one condition." He turns to Blackheart, his eyes narrowed and Reflection drawn, pointing his sword at Blackheart. "Once you have the Black Heart, release Felicia's soul from your body and return to the Black Void. Once you have what you want, I never wish to see or hear from your kind ever again, Voidbringer!"
"I understand." Blackheart says, lowering her head sadly. "You of all people should be the one to decide my fate; as a Sorwin, your kind have suffered the most at the hands of Jazenok Blackskull and his followers. I know it means nothing after so many years, or coming from someone like me, but I am very sorry."

Timo had almost pointed his ice staff at Quintin when he pointed Reflection at Blackheart.
"I don't know what happened between you and Blackskull, Quintin, but at the moment, she is nothing like Blackskull and if we succeed, she never will be." Timo said. "So don't even dare to blame her for what Blackskull did just because she is a Voidbringer."
Timo made his ice staff disappear. "In case you don't know me, I'm Timo, one of the warriors who fought against Blackskull and his forces."

"In fact," Hack adds, "the Voidbringer, her friend, and the little kid are the only ones here who didn't help to get rid of Blackskull, so you can rest assured we have no more love for him than you do. But this one," nodding at Blackheart, "is on our side. And if we're gonna work together, you'll need to set aside your grudge, at least until the job is done."
He looks at Blackheart, then back at Quintin. "You say your Queen's spirit is in that one? That must be how she healed her. If you're thinking the Voidbringer stole her soul, you've got it backwards. It was the Queen's idea."
