The Dark Powerpuff Crusade Finale: The Black Void

Dark Timo was busy dealing with the new arrivals into his domain. He knew from Timo's memory not to tackle Steve or Blossom, so he made a move for Angel. He had planned to use the same trick he had used on Timo in the past.
But the new people were faster. Steve held him in a Paralysis stare, which allowed him to speak, but not move or vanish. Blossom reached into Steve's pocket and got the string out. She threw it and it formed a tangle around Timo. Angel then cast a magic spell to cause him more pain if he moved.
Steve couldn't speak because the paralysis stare took up most of his power and he wasn't keen on letting go because Timo would vanish if he did.
'Still in charge, Dark Timo?', Blossom asked him.
Dark Timo didn't answer. Buttercup spotted them and shouted for them to keep him there while they put the seal back in place...

"Ah, these little powers of yours." Dark Timo said. "Such pests. By the way, what makes you so sure I haven't prepared for this?" He managed to grin evilly.

At the seal, Timo looked at Blossom, Steve and Angel. "They're here too? Then who is tending the outside?" he looked at the seal and then the predicament Dark Timo was in.

"Dark Timo wouldn't let this happen this easily. He knows everything I've seen and heard..."

His trail of thoughts was cut off as Penny had picked up one of the pieces and went near the seal. Penny was about to try and put the piece on the seal when Timo suddenly went wide eyed.

"Penny, stop!!" Timo yelled.

Penny managed to put the piece in place when Timo looked upward and saw darkness moving around. Suddenly a dark lightning struck on Penny, but Timo quickly created an ice shield around Penny.

As the lightning struck on the shield, Timo's arms hurt. At the same time, outside, Timo's body trembled like he was having shocks. Felicia and the healer gasped. Even Penny was tensing up.

After the attack calmed down, Timo fell down and Penny ran back at him. Bubbles and Buttercup helped him stand up.

"I'm sorry, Timo. I didn't know." Penny said.

"None of us did." Timo said as he looked at the seal. "Dark Timo knew that he might get attacked by others than me so he trapped the seal itself. A direct hit from that lightning is deadly."

"So what do we do now?" Buttercup asked.

"Simple." Timo said. "I create a big enough shield to cover you all when you put a piece in place."

"But that last one already shook you this much." Bubbles said. "You can't handle all of those shocks by yourself."

"Not much choice now is there?" Timo said as he looked at Dark Timo. "I just hope they can keep him occupied long enough.

Timo looked at the pieces. "All of you, start putting the seal back together. I'll protect you."

Steve couldn't as he was putting all his energy into the Paralysis stare. He did, however, feel annoyed at what Dark Timo had just done. He managed to tell Blossom to take another roll of cord from his pocket.
'Why', Blossom asked.
'Put it over his face', Steve replied. 'I'd say neck but I don't want to risk losing Timo'.
Blossom, pleased with her first throw, threw again. Dark Timo couldn't move as the cord tied itself around his face, rendering him blind and dumb. Now he couldn't see where anyone was, nor could he fire on them.
This left them free to finish the puzzle under Timo's shield. There was one piece left and this could not be put in place until Dark Timo was inside....

"We're almost finished." Bubbles said, looking at Timo. However, Bubbles little joy was cut short as she saw Timo. The shocks had forced him to lie down. The ice shield disappeared.

Bubbles flew down to Timo. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Shocked, but fine." Timo said.

"All we need to do now is seal Dark Timo inside this before putting on the last piece." Angel said.

Despite being tied up, unable to speak or see, Dark Timo remained calm.

"You really think putting all that rope around my head will stop me from talking?" Dark Timo said, his voice echoing all around the others. "My body may be unable to move or do anything, but I still have my mind. Timo, you should know what happens when you put that last piece in place."

Timo didn't say anything. Instead he stood up slowly and flew slowly towards Dark Timo. He turned to look at Steve. "You can let go of him now. I'll take him myself."

"What did he mean by that, Timo?" Blossom asked.

"Nothing in particular." Timo said.

Bubbles had been with Timo long enough to know when he wasn't telling something. "Liar. What is it?"

Timo took Dark Timo and flew towards the seal.

"You're not going to tell them, are you?" Dark Timo said. "Then I will."

"Shut up!!" Timo said in rage. This surprised others since Timo has never been so enraged before.

Outside, Felicia and the healer were looking at the screen.

"What is he waiting for?" Felicia wondered. "They're so close now but... something is still not right."

Right then Timo's blood pressure began to rise suddenly too high.

"His condition is getting worse, your Highness."

"WHAT?"

"You never told them why you were really out for a week the last time you sealed me." Dark Timo said.

This made Timo stop right next to seal.

"This Black Void was created here the second Timo here put his diamond back on him. Dark Timo said. "That made me part of him."

"Wait a minute!" Angel yelled. "You just called this place 'Black Void', didn't you? But then that means..."

"You guessed it, 'Angel'. I am a son of Blackskull."

"WHAT??" Everyone, except Timo, said at the same time.

"But you already knew that didn't you, Timo?"

Timo stayed quiet for a moment, but then said: "I had my doubts when this whole thing started, but after I went to Black Void to help everyone defeat Blackskull, I knew for sure."

"Father called me a 'failure' and never mentioned me to others. But I decided to at least corrupt one hero's mind completely and take all the powers he/she possessed. But I couldn't. Instead I sucked power from ordinary people and after only killing three people, I became much stronger." Dark Timo paused. "Can you guess who those three were, Timo?"

"No don't listen to him, Timo!" Bubbles yelled.

"Your family, Timo."

Timo's heartbeats increased a lot suddenly and the diamond's red area suddenly rose almost to the top, leaving only a very small area left. All of the monitors were showing such readings that would be deadly to normal humans.

"What's happening?" Felicia asked.

"I don't know, your Highness." The healer said. "I can't stabililize him."

The Professor looked at the monitor. "Something is provoking Timo big time. If these readings continue to stay any longer, Timo will die."

It was obvious from the scene around them that Timo's body was responding to this and quite dangerously too.
'I'm not letting go of him, that would be suicide for everyone', Steve shouted. 'This is Dark Timo's trickery. Don't give in!'
'Blackskull's corruption', Blossom said. 'I wonder....'
'We can't fire bullets in here', Bubbles cried.
'True', Buttercup added.
'There are some bullets in my pocket outside with the cure in them', Steve stated.
'You mean shoot Timo?', Penny was appalled.
'No. Professor, can you hear me', Steve shouted.

Outside, the call was heard. The sound on the monitor was turned up.
'Professor, can you hear me. In my jacket pocket are some bullets marked Blackskull's corruption. Empty them and put the liquid into a saline solution. Get it into him right away. Now'.

Steve hoped he'd been heard. Blossom shouted it again.

The professor heard this and rifled through Steve's pockets. Steve actually felt this and this gave him another idea. Two of the bullets were taken from his pocket, there was one left. He grasped it and pulled it open. Around them, the darkness seemed to subside slightly as Steve threw the liquid from the bullet in a wide arc. It hit Dark Timo and he writhed with pain. Timo himself calmed down.

The professor put the bag onto the stand near Timo and let the liquid flow into him. The heartbeat slowly began to lower and the red diamond lessened.
'Well it's stabilised him', he commented.
'Thank Goodness', Felicia sighed. She cared a lot for the people in there.

Steve still had Dark Timo in the grip of the paralysis stare. The darkness around them seemed to be dissipating now.
'Let's get him back in his hole', Buttercup ordered.
'He won't die in there, so don't worry', Bubbles told Timo.

Timo held Dark Timo in front of him. "You should know that that family doesn't belong to my life anymore. They are my family now." He said referring to the Powerpuff Girls. He then threw Dark Timo inside the seal.

"You already forgot what I said about the last piece?" Dark Timo said, still unable to move or get out of the ropes.

As Timo landed next to the last piece, he looked at everyone. "Everyone except Steve and Angel should get out now."

The Powerpuff Girls were puzzled.

"Timo, what's going on?" Bubbles asked. "What is Dark Timo talking about?"

Timo picked up the last piece. "He's talking about the last trap. One final lightning, but much stronger than the previous ones. Strong enough to kill anyone."

"No shield will help you against that."

Bubbles went wide eyed. "B-b-but we can't leave you knowing such a thing."

Steve suddenly knew why Timo wanted such a thing and soon Blossom knew it too.

"I see, Timo." Blossom said and then looked at everyone. "Timo is right. When that trap goes off, it can hit any of us, killing one of us on the spot. You don't want us to be in when the trap goes off."

"That's right, Blossom." Timo said, looking at Dark Timo. "Dark Timo doesn't want to be sealed again for such a long time, possibly forever."

Everyone were silent for a moment, then...

"Professor, if you can hear me, disconnect everyone except Steve and Angel." Blossom said.

The Professor heard Blossom and had heard Timo's explanation. Felicia and the healer stayed quiet, looking worriedly at the monitor.

"I hope you know what you're doing, Timo." The professor said. "Don't let all the effort go to waste." he then disconnected everyone except Steve and Angel and soon they woke up.

---

"Timo, I..." Bubbles had managed to say before disappearing with the others.

After only Steve and Angel were around, Timo looked at Steve. "Hold that paralysis stare a little while longer, would you?" Steve nodded and Timo turned and went to Angel.

"Angel, I have a favor to ask of you." Timo said.

"What is it?"

Timo quickly looked at Dark Timo and then began to silently whisper something to Angel.

"You understand?" Timo asked.

"Yes, but..." Angel was about to say.

"No 'buts'." Timo said as he the yelled at the darkness. "Alright, Professor. Disconnect Angel."

The Professor disconnected Angel and soon she was awake.

---

Timo began fly at the top of the seal with the last piece and put it back in place. Right then a large lightning gathered in one place right on top of Timo.

"You WILL die, if you seal me back in." Dark Timo said.

Timo took out the diamond from his chest and looked at Steve and then yelled: "Alright, Professor... disconnect Steve."

---

Angel had just finished telling the Professor, Felicia and the healer Timo's request when Timo's voice was heard.

"Alright, this is it. Be ready." Angel said.

After hearing the plan, Bubbles got more worried.

"Alright, here goes. ... NOW!" The Professor said as he disconnected Steve.

---

"You will break Bubbles' heart." Dark Timo said.

"... I know." Timo said.

Steve disappeared and in a blink of an eye Timo hit his diamond on top of the seal as Dark Timo tried to fly out of the seal. The lightning struck on Timo.

Immediately after Steve woke up, Timo's health monitor flatlined.

Steve came round to Blossom skaking him. 'Come on..'
'What', he replied.
'We think we've lost Timo. His heart stopped beating.' She sounded a bit panicky, Steve thought as he got off the table and onto his feet. Blossom passed him his stick.
'Where's Angel', he asked. 'She's got a request from Timo.'
'Here. He said to keep the body alive. I'll do the rest', Angel replied.
Professor Utonium was getting the defibrillator set up while Buttercup was doing heart massage. The monitors showed that the brain was still alive, the seal on Dark Timo's box intact, but where was Timo. He looked closer at the monitors as his head cleared. Timo was on the floor in there, lying very still.
'Blossom, get the big first aid box from my workshop', Steve said. He was lucky that they had such a thing, he thought. 'Felicia, take her out of here', he added, nodding to Bubbles. Bubbles was in tears and yelling at Timo to come round. Felicia went over and spoke to her as she led Bubbles outside. Steve didn't want her to see the effects of the Electric Shock treatment. Blossom came back with the box. Steve opened it and examined it before he used it.
'Clear', he yelled. Both Buttercup and the Professor stopped. Steve put the electrodes on Timo's chest and Blossom pressed the button on the unit. Timo's body arched as the current sailed through him. The monitors stayed flat.
'Clear', he yelled. Blossom put more current through and the monitors responded, Suddenly the Bleep Bleep of the monitor filled the room. Steve gently took the electrodes away. He was breathing now and his heart was normal. Blossom carefully put the machine down out of sight.
'Bring Bubbles in', she said. Penny went out and a second later, came back in with a tearful Bubbles and a teary eyed Felicia.
The Professor spoke to Bubbles. 'He's not conscious, but he's stable. Talk to him, maybe he'll hear you'.
Bubbles went over to Timo. 'Please come back, Please.....'

Steve went to the phone. Blossom followed and asked him what he was doing.
'Ringing my Doctor. You know him, Dr. Kulkarney.'
He dialled. Meanwhile, Angel went to Timo...

Angel kneeled down next to Timo. Bubbles looked at her.

"Keep talking, Bubbles." Angel said. "I'll now do my part." She looked at Timo's diamond which seemed to be all light blue again... but Angel saw it. One single red dot.

"He was right. Angel thought. There really still is a small area in Dark Timo's control. According to Timo, it'll take a full week for that area to get fixed, but Dark Timo might get loose again in the future." He looked at Timo's face. "But Timo... if I do my part, you might..." Angel looked at Bubbles, who was still talking to Timo, tears in her eyes. "... lose your most precious memories... but you knew that risk, didn't you?"

After awhile, after Steve and Blossom had returned, Angel touched Timo's forehead with both hands from both sides.

Timo was surrounded in white light. This made everyone look in wonder.

"Angel, what are you doing?" Bubbles asked.

"My part of Timo's request." Angel said as her wings spread. "Timo still has the Black Void inside him." Angel looked at Penny. "Come sit next to me, Penny. I'll need your faith and strenght to do this."

After Penny sat next to angel and held her hand and shoulder, she began to glow too.

"Whatever corruption you still have, Timo, let me heal it and destroy it." Angel said.

---

Inside Timo's mind at the seal, Dark Timo was trying to push the tip of the seal off. But then he felt a strange wave coming. Despite Steve's rope still covering his eyes, he knew what it was. The surrounding area began to glow white light.

"Clever, Timo. Very clever."

The white light covered the seal and Dark Timo.

---

The red dot on Timo's diamond disappeared and the white light disappeared and Angel fell to ground.

"Angel!" Penny yelled, holding Angel up.

"I'm okay, Penny. Just tired." Angel said.

"Exactly what did you do?" Blossom asked.

"... I destroyed the Black Void inside Timo." Angel said. "Dark Timo made a mistake in telling Timo that he was Blackskull's 'son' from the real Black Void. His influence was corrupting Timo's body from the very beginning slowly but steadily. His fights just acted as catalysts and speeded up the process."

"Wait a second." Buttercup said. "You mean to tell us Dark Timo is destroyed?"

Angel didn't say anything for a while. "No. He's still inside him, but now he will stay there forever. Timo's strenght and powers should also be back to normal now." But in her thoughts she added. "But it might have cost him his memories."

"Alright then." Steve said. "Blossom, would you take Timo upstairs to a bed?"

"Sure." Blossom said.

As Blossom was about to take Timo, Bubbles stopped her.

"Please don't move him." Bubbles said with her teary eyes.

"He should be alright now, Bubbles." Blossom said. "You can come and be with him if you want to."

As Blossom and Bubbles went out with Timo, Blazer gave a sigh of relief.

"Phew... it's finally over." Blazer said.

"Thank Goodness." Felicia said happily. "I am so glad you are all alright."

While everyone were smiling, Angel looked at the doorway worriedly.

Steve was busy putting leads and cables away safely rather than congratulate everyone or accept thanks. Timo was still unconscious and until he came round, Steve felt that the job hadn't been done. Bubbles was still on the verge of tears as she helped Blossom take Timo upstairs. He got a bag of nutrients and was making his way upstairs.
There was a figure in the doorway.
'Dr Kulkarney. Thanks for coming so fast', he said.
'No Problem. You look OK, where is the patient'. The Doctor asked.
'You're the guy that looks after Steve aren't you', Penny stated.
'Nice to meet you', Felicia added.
'Hi Everyone. I haven't got long, where is the patient.' Dr Kulkarney asked again. 'After the last few days, Townsville Hosptial is a bit busy,'
Steve gave the Doctor another bag of fluid. 'Follow me', he said.
He filled the doctor in on the story, well the believable parts, on the way upstairs. They met Blossom on the landing. 'This way', she instructed them.

Dr Kulkarney was looking over Timo as Bubbles was talking to him. Steve was in a chair nearby, as the tiredness finally began to hit home. Blossom was fixing the drip,
'Nourishment until he wakes', she told Dr. Kulkarney.
'I was about to suggest that. He's OK but in a very deep sleep. Not comatose, but in a very deep sleep. It's probably the best thing judging by what Steve has told me.
'Anything we should know when he comes round', Bubbles asked him.
'After things like this, memory loss sometimes occurs. Sometimes it's permanent, usually temporary. We'll know when he comes round. Just keep talking to him, they do hear it you know.' Dr Kulkarney looked at Bubbles.
'I haven't stopped, have I Timo', Bubbles replied.
'I'll look in again tomorrow', Dr Kulkarney told them. 'Don't leave him alone.'
'There's no chance of that', Blossom chuckled.
'I can tell', Dr Kulkarney smiled.
'We'll see you out', Steve said. Blossom and Steve made their way downstairs and towards the door.
'Oh by the way', Dr Kulkarney asked. 'Where did you get that shock machine from?'
Steve remained silent. 'Tell him', Blossom said.
'It was in a skip behind the hospital. I brought it home and fixed it', Steve admitted. Blossom's eyes briefly pointed upwards.
'Ah. I thought you may have when it vanished. I'll bring the instructions tomorrow!'. Dr Kulkarney laughed. 'Do you want a job mending our stuff?'
'We'll see.'. Steve helped Dr Kulkarney into his car.
'See you tomorrow!'. Dr Kulkarney sped off and Blossom and Steve went inside. When they shut the door, Steve leaned on it and tears appeared in his eyes.
'What's up?'. Blossom took his hands and held him.
'Nothing', Steve replied.
'The British stiff upper lip does not do that for nowt', Blossom commented, copying his Lancashire twang.
'I'll be OK when we comes round. I promised him that...'.
Blossom put a finger to his lips. 'I know. Come on, I'll make the a nice cuppa char'. *
They both entered the laboratory again...

Hours passed. Everyone had gone and seen how Timo was doing, but in due time Felicia, Bushman and Blazer were thinking about leaving.

When Blossom heard about this, she went and went to the room where Bubbles was with Timo. "Bubbles? Felicia and Blazer are leaving. You want to come and see them off?"

Bubbles didn't turn or say anything. Blossom understood and closed the door. As she went downstairs, Felicia was about to create a portal for Blazer.

"Well, it was good to be fighting with all of you again." Blazer said. "If you ever need my help again, you know where to find me."

Felicia then casted Portal to Rainbowland.

Before Blazer went through, he turned to see Blossom. "And I hope Timo gets well soon. He's letting Bubbles have way too much hard time already."

Blossom nodded. "Say hello to Amanda from all of us."

"I will." Blazer said as he walked through the Portal

"We also have to return to our home." Felicia said, referring to her and Bushman. "I have a country to rule over and people to unite."

"Right." Blossom said. "Thank you for your help, Felicia and Bushman."

"You have no need to thank us, Blossom." Felicia said as she created another Portal to The Silver Castle of Wonder. "It was the least we could do after all you did for me and my people in Wonder."

"Oh and if you see Garrog, tell him that if he ever wants to have a match against someone powerful, look me up." Buttercup said smirkingly.

Felicia giggled, but then saddened as she looked upstairs. "Take care of Bubbles. She's in a very delicate state right now."

"We will." Blossom and Buttercup said altogether as Felicia and Bushman went through the Portal.

Both Portals closed up after that.

Blossom looked at Angel and Penny. "What about you? Won't you be needed in Viletown?"

Angel looked sad. Penny looked at her and touched her shoulder.

"Don't worry, Angel." Penny said. "Timo will be alright."

Angel gave a weak smile as she hugged Penny. "I know, Penny."

After Angel broke the hug, she looked at Blossom. "I'd like to stay here and make sure Timo will truly be alright. I'll occasionally, however, visit Viletown to make sure the city's safe."

"Then I'll stay here too." Penny said. "I'm sure Jomo can defend the city. And besides, it should be quite peaceful now."

"Very well, if you're sure." Blossom said before she looked upstairs and sighed.

"Well then..." the Professor was saying. "You all must be hungry and tired. I'll make something for all of you, including Bubbles."

"I think it's also best to make an extra bed to Timo's room." Steve said. "Bubbles will want to stay with him the whole time."

Days passed and Townsville began to get peaceful and whole again, but Timo stayed unconcious and each day Dr. Kulkarney visited and checked on Timo. No changes were showing, however. Bubbles never left his side, not even when an emergency came up. Angel and Penny had truly stayed also, while Angel made an occasional visit to Viletown and had reported the situation to Jomo.

Seeing Bubbles been with Timo all the time made Penny sad and helpless.

"Angel?" Penny said.

"What is it, Penny?" Angel asked.

"Can't we help Bubbles?" Penny asked.

Angel saddened. "I'm afraid we can't, Penny. Timo must fight this battle on his own even though the worst is over now." She closed her eyes as she thought. "For Bubbles' sake, I hope I didn't give Timo a permanent memory loss. It'll break her heart for sure."

Then came the 6th day after the whole incident...

The sixth day arrived and at about three a.m., Blossom and Steve, who had slipped in together again, were woken by a yell. Bubbles was calling out for help?
They both made themselves decent and ran into Timo's room to find him awake. He was hungry, and Buttercup had ran down to the kitchen to get him something to eat. Steve wasn't keen on this until he'd been looked over by Dr. Kulkarnay.
But he didn't seem to know who anyone was or where he was. Bubbles was trying, in between the tears that flowed from her, to come up with anything that he would remember. Angel and Penny came in and looked sad at his apparent lack of knowledge.
'He said this might happen', Steve commented. 'Stay with him and I'll go ring the Doc.' With that he rushed back to his (and Blossom's, lately!) room and grabbed his phone.

'He's come round, this is good', Blossom told Bubbles. 'And in most cases this is not permanent'.
'I know', Bubbles replied. 'But I was hoping...'
Timo was silent, confused by the strange looking people around him. Buttercup came in with some food and a drink. Blossom let Timo have the drink, but slowly. 'Just wait till the doctor comes', she stated.
Steve came back in with the Professor. He hadn't taken any Chemical X so he was back to his usual self, leaning on his stick. 'Professor, will you wait for Dr. Kulkarney. '
'Yeah, Sure'. The Professor waited downstairs for the Dr. to arrive.

Dr Kulkarney was looking Timo over. 'He seens heathy', he said.
'Does that mean I can have some food', Timo asked. He really was hungry.
'Yes, a little and slowly. Don't make yourself sick', Dr Kulkarney told him.
'But he can't remember anything', Bubbles nearly cried as she told him.
'Time, Patience and Familiarity', Dr Kulkarney told her. 'I'm sure you have all three. But he's come round, which is good.'
'I can get a TV in here if you like. What are his favourite programmes?'. Steve was ever the practical one, Blossom thought.
'Yes. And tomorrow, I'll come back and look again. We'll see about walking then.', Dr Kulkarney said.
Then Timo said something strange.... 'Purple Octopus'.

"What did you say?" Bubbles asked.

"Purple Octopus." Timo repeated.

"Purple Octopus?" Buttercup wondered. "What kind of program is that? I've never heard of that."

Bubbles went wide eyed. "It's not a TV-program." With that she suddenly sped off to her room and checked her bed. Sure enough, her favorite toy was there. The purple octopus, Octi.

Bubbles returned to Timo's room and gave Timo Octi. "Is this what you mean, Timo?"

As Timo looked at Octi carefully, holding it in his hands, Bubbles was looking at him with hopeful eyes. "Well, do you remember something?"

Timo was quiet for a while. "I... feel that this isn't mine, but it looks so familiar." He turned his head to see Bubbles. "Is this yours?"

"Yes, it is." Bubbles said. "It's my most favorite toy."

At this both Steve and Dr. Kulkarney looked at Bubbles.

Timo was about to sit up, but Dr. Kulkarney stopped him. "Careful, young man. You've been in a deep sleep for six whole days and your body may feel weak at the moment."

"Six whole days?" Timo wondered. "What happened to me?"

"They can tell you later." Dr Kulkarney said as he stood up and was leaving. "They know more than I do anyway."

Steve followed the doctor. "Doc, did he just...?"

"Indeed he did." Dr. Kulkarney said. "He remembered vaguely that girl's favorite toy. That's a very good sign. It means there's a good chance he may not have a permanent memory loss."

Angel heard this and she gave a deep sigh of relief as tears fell of her eyes. "Thank goodness."

Dr. Kulkarney looked at Bubbles. "That girl may be the key to unlock all of his memories."

"Makes sense." Steve said, knowing how they feel about each other... or at least felt before.

Bubbles looked at Timo with hopeful eyes. "Do you remember who you are? Do you remember my name?"

Timo looked at Bubbles with half-empty eyes. "I... I... I'm sorry, but I don't know who I am or who you are, miss."

This turned Bubbles' hope into sorrow and she ran from the room, crying.

"Bubbles!" Blossom yelled as she went after Bubbles.

Penny, who was close with Angel, burst into tears after seeing this scene. She turned around to see Timo. "You meanie! You can remember her favorite toy, but you can't remember the girl herself who cares about you more than you can imagine!"

Angel stopped Penny. "Silence, Penny! You're not looking carefully enough."

As everyone looked at Timo, they all saw a single tear falling from his right eye.

Timo noticed this and wiped the tear. "Why am I crying?" He then looked at Penny. "And what do you mean by all that, little miss?"

Blossom was outside the room with a tearful Bubbles. 'His memories are there, but in what order they come back nobody knows. You have to be strong', she was saying to Bubbles.
'I know, but after all that we've been through', Bubbles sobbed.
'He went through more than the rest of us', Blossom replied.
Steve came out with Dr Kulkarney.
'Bubbles isn't it?', he began, gently. 'You are probably the key to that lad's memories', he told her. 'Be strong. He is crying right now, but he does not know why. His brain is full of little memories and as more appear, they will fit together. The prognosis is good.'
'There you are', Blossom replied.
'I know. But why remember a doll rather than me?', Bubbles asked.
'The human mind is a funny thing. Even now we are still learning. But he remembers your favourite toy. That is good. Go back in, I think you will be needed', Dr Kulkarney replied.
Bubbles wiped her eyes and went back in.
'Thanks again Doctor.', Steve replied. 'See you later on today!!'.
'Bye. I'll see myself out', Dr Kilkarney insisted. He went down the stairs and out of the door as Blossom and Steve went back in the room.

Bubbles went next to Timo again and just laid her head on Timo's chest. When Blossom and Steve appeared at the doorway, they looked at each other and nodded.

Blossom looked at everyone. "Come on, you all. Let's leave those two alone for a while."

The room emptied quite soon and Blossom closed the door, leaving Bubbles alone with Timo.

Timo put his hand on Bubbles' head. "I'm sorry if I hurt you... Bubbles, was it?"

Bubbles closed her eyes, trying to listen. "It's okay. I guess I should be happy, that you're alive at least. You feel so warm."

Timo picked up Octi next to him and put it in front of Bubbles. "Here. This is yours, isn't it?"

Bubbles looked at Octi and took it. "Yes, thank you."

"You... seem to care about me a lot." Timo said. "Why is that? Are we close?"

Bubbles lifted her head and looke at Timo. "Yes, we're very close."

"But I don't feel like we're relatives."

"... No, we aren't relatives." Bubbles said. "But you are a part of our family, part of our group, defending this city from evil."

Timo looked at Bubbles like she had just said something strange. "Wait a minute. 'Defending this city from evil'? That can't be true. How can a small boy like me defend a whole city." he looked at Bubbles from feet to head. "And you don't seem to be much younger than me. How can you defend a whole city?"

Bubbles gave a weak smile ad she held onto Timo's hand. "I'll show you. Hold on tight."

Then, slowly, but surely, Bubbles hovered upward, slowly bringing Timo out of the bed and make him hover right above the bed.

Timo looked down in wonder. "What the...? How are you doing this?"

"The same way you can." Bubbles said. "The same way most us can."

"Me?" Timo wondered. "How?"

"Concentrate. Imagine that you are as light as a feather."

Timo looked at Bubbles for a moment and then closed his eyes. "This is... to weird."

After a moment, Bubbles let go of Timo's hand. Timo was hovering in place, not falling one inch.

"Open your eyes." Bubbles said.

As Timo opened his eyes, he looked down and saw that he wasn't falling.

"I... I have same powers as you?" Timo asked.

"Mostly the same... and more." Bubbles said as she held Timo's hand again and lowered him back on the bed. "Most of us have special powers, unique to each one. Mine is understanding and talking different languages. Yours are ice powers." Bubbles looked at Timo's eyes. "Remembering anything yet?"

Timo turned away from Bubbles. "... I'm sorry, Bubbles, but can you leave me alone? This is... too much information, all too strange for me and... too unbelievable."

Bubbles saddened again. "Timo, I..."

"Please!" Timo said that a bit louder than he intended.

Bubbles closed her eyes and walked out of the room as Timo lied down on the bed again.

"This is insane." Timo said. "I can't be some kind of superhero... I'm... just a normal human being." He looked at his own hands. "At least... I think I'm a human being."

There was a knock on the door of Steve's room. Blossom answered it. It was Bubbles.
'He asked me to leave', she said, her voice that bit too level as she sat on the bed.
'Why?', Blossom asked.
Steve listened as she told them both what had happened as she told them. her voice starting to break again. Blossom passed her the tissues. 'Well, the shock of finding out you have superpowers and fought evil after losing your memory will be great', Blossom gently told her.
'You're doing well. Give it time', Steve added.
'I know. By the way, what else does he like. Food, TV Programmes, Music....', Blossom asked.
At that moment Timo called for Bubbles. 'Just don't accept too much too soon, OK, Steve advised her.
'I wont. I'm here Timo', she called as she went out of Steve and Blossom's room and back into Timo's....
'I'll sort out that TV tomorrow. He can borrow that', Steve said as he pointed to the TV.DVD in the cormer of the room.
'Well that's tomorrow', Blossom stated as she got back in beside him. He put his working arm round her and they drifted off to sleep....
