The Ringo Starr rumour is the first one to have some truth behind it. www.classichitsandoldies.com/v2/2012/11/14/ringo-starr-voicing-powerpuff-girls-character-starting-work-on-new-cd/For once, it's an update with some pictures to prove it. www.ringostarr.com/index/home/ I have always said that there would be more from them - and this proves it. It's about the right time too, as the kids who grew up with the original show have now got kids of their own. Whether it is a one-off special or a new series, I hope it's up to scratch. I wonder if Craig has had any part in this - he is a Beatles fan after all. Here's hoping. Cheers, Blossomgb PS Thanks are due to my friend Zac Lane for bringing this to my and now your attention. Also Cook55 for the first heads up.

Ringo and/or the Beatles have been cartoon figures a number of times: * The ABC Saturday morning cartoon (1965-69) * Yellow Submarine * Eek! The Cat (episode had a scene parodying A Hard Day's Night scene on a train) * Appearance on The Simspons * The Powerpuff Girls ("Meet The Beat-Alls," both in Saturday morning style and "Yellow Submarine" style) Intangibly referred to: * Tex Tinstar (segment of Disney's Schnookums & Meat show featured the Polite Coyotes, who all assumed mannerisms and voice traits of the Beatles) * Wakko Warner (Animaniacs, voice channeled Ringo)

Latest on this... It looks like there won't be a Powerpuff Girls revival series, BUT there will be a CG-animated special premiering later this year starring those three super heroes and all your other favorite characters, with an original song performed by Ringo Starr as he potrays "Townsville’s most famous flamboyant mathematician, 'Fibonacci Sequins,'". I'm not sure what to make of this... www.themarysue.com/powerpuff-girls-special/Cheers, Blossomgb

That drawing of the girls looks like only a concept drawing. Since it's going to be CG, it should be refined. We'll all know down the line.

Release date; 13th September 2013.
Apart from the picture we already have, there are no more pictures or promos. The cartoon will be Computer Generated and all the original actors will be back for this.
More when I receive and check it.
Cheers,
Blossomgb

I'd watch it. I hope it'll be good, and if the original cast is coming back, then that sounds great.
The article linked above says somewhere:
"McCracken and Lauren Faust seemingly have no involvement in the special."
I wonder if that's true.

So, CN already announced it as a special by commercial. Did anyone see it?
