"Perhaps, Blossom, but I'd rather not take that risk." Timo said. "We also have to consider the security Mojo definitively has, like security cameras."
Timo thought about Steve's question as a wild thought came up to him.
"There might be a way to actually solve the noise problem." Timo said. "But it's highly risky... and a bit stupid."
Blossom looked at Timo worriedly at the mention 'stupid'.
"What if we cover the noise by covering ourselves inside something like a box." Timo said. "That way the humming sound will be silenced at least enough so that no one can hear it."
"But where can we find such a big box that can fit us all in?" Buttercup asked. "Furthermore, wouldn't something like a box stick out too much and cause suspicion?"
"Hey, it was just a suggestion." Timo said. "I can't control how loud the sound is and we don't know how bad is the radiation around Mojo's lab. We could at least go and find Mojo's lab and gather intel. That's the first phase when infiltrating a place. Who knows, maybe we'll find a 'backdoor' to the place. I bet Mojo has built an escape tunnel or something for himself in case things would get out of hand."

'The box idea is so daft that I like it!', Steve commented. 'Have you gone out of your mind?', Angel asked. 'No. We wouldn't do it and they won't think of it for that very reason', Steve remarked. They all looked at him with varying degrees of fun and amusement. Blossom, however, had a different look. 'I can see where he's coming from', she told them. Steve sat down and looked round at everyone. 'But not for intelligence gathering', he stated. 'Professor Utonium can do that in his special suit.' He looked at the Professor. 'If that's OK with you, Powerprof!!'

Professor Utonium lights up. "Of course! The Federal Power Armor has a built in radio and a cloaking device. If I use the armor to infiltrate Mojo's current base of operations, I could send back all kinds of useful information in relative safety. We've figured out how to block Blossom's mind from feeding information to Imposter, now we can turn the tables!"
"Will you be okay on your own?" Bubbles asks with concern for the Professor.
"I'll be all right. Patriarch picked out this armor for me in the event that the two of us were separated and I needed to fend for myself. Perhaps he has finished deciding what he'll do now and I can find him again."
"Well, okay. Just be careful Professor. I don't want to have to come find you again." Bubbles replies.
Professor Utonium smiles to the girls, giving each of them a hug. "Once this is over, we'll all go back home, I promise." He says as he presses a button on one of the armor's gauntlets and disappears.
Steve's wristband starts to talk in ult voices moments later:
"Another fine day of blasting puny mutants!"
"The master will reward us with more of the black nectar for this!"
"Yes, and the blood of our foes will make us bigger and stronger, just like the gols!"
"What that in sky? Some kind of blue light?"
"It headed for master! We stop it good!"
Several gunshots are then heard, followed by the ults continuing.
"Grr, I missed!"
"Me too. Blue light move too fast to hit!"
"We go back and warn master. He and pretty lady know what to do!"
The stomping noises of the ults begins.
"Sounds like Professor's on the right track." Buttercup replies.
"The ults spotted Patriarch and shot at him!" Bubbles responds.
"I'm not sure what our 'father' is planning to do, but he could have come here and told us first." Blossom says.
"Maybe he's still upset about the Federation's expectations of him here. He could be too ashamed to show his face here again." Buttercup tells Blossom.
"If he's not careful, he could blow Professor's cover!" Bubbles says, a worried look on her face.
The wristband plays more voices.
"Robot! Open door and let us in to see master!"
Sunshine's cheerful robotic voice answers the mutant. "You betcha! Steer clear of the door as it opens; I wouldn't want you to accidentally hurt yourself."
A door opens and the stomping noises of the ults gets quieter. Sunshine talks again, this time talking directly to the Professor! "Hi, Professor Utonium! How can I help you today?"
"You can see me with the cloaking device?" Professor asks.
"Of course! As an F.E.S. I have a built in infrared scanner. It helps out when the Federation needs to track down stolen equipment or cloaked enemy starships."
"Would it be possible for you to allow me in without sounding the alarm?"
"Sure! I'll open the door and you can go on in! I think Blossom has been expecting you."
"Has she?"
The sound of a door opening is heard as the Professor goes into Mojo's base.
"I'm inside. Mojo's base is built into a frost capped mountain deep in ult territory. I'm activating the suit's homing device so you can pinpoint my location." Professor says directly to Steve and the others. A white blip appears on the computerized map of FL-49's surface built into the wristband.
"He's definitely deep in the ult mountain range." Dr. Saw comments. "It will be risky to go there, as there are lethal levels of Radiation X in that area to any nonmutants. It's good that Professor Utonium has that suit to protect him."
More voices are heard. This time the ults are talking to Mojo Jojo!
"Master, a blue light is headed your way. It must have found out where you are!"
"What? How could Patriarch have found me? I specifically built the base here, where no one should have been crazy or stupid enough to come in search of me or my laboratory, yet here comes the Powerpuff Girls' so called 'biological father' to try and interrupt my plans for this world and the Galactic Federation! I thank you ults for bringing me, Mojo Jojo, future ruler of FL-49 and the galaxy, this important warning."
"Does that mean we get black nectar?"
"Yes yes. Have some Chemical X. Perhaps if you are stronger, you can defeat Patriarch and stop him from interfering with my plan to take over the universe!"
As the ults stomp away, a sound of a machine being kicked can be heard over the wristband, followed by Mojo and Imposter.
"Curses!"
"I told you this would happen, but you didn't listen to me!"
"Not now, Imposter. I must decide what we should do now."
"Dealing with Patriarch would have been hard enough, but you had to up the challenge by having me lure the Powerpuff Girls to FL-49 as well! Now that Blossom's figured out a way to block her thoughts from entering my head, we have no idea what they're up to! If I had known all it took was a helmet wrapped in tinfoil to keep her thoughts out of my head, I'd have superglued one to her head years ago and NEVER let her take it off!"
"You don't have to sound so happy about it, Imposter. Without the information from Blossom's mind, the Powerpuff Girls could be planning anything right now, perhaps even a way to find me!"
"It's time to face facts, Mojo; we're in trouble. We've been in trouble ever since the Powerpuff Girls got here. I knew this would happen; I even told you it would, but no of course not. You had everything under control, right?"
"Imposter..."
"Stop calling me that! I told you already, I went all the way to Citysville and had them assign me a real name! Irony upon irony, they gave me the name Blossom Younger. I've no interest in Blossom Utonium, her husband Steve, her daughter Angel Felicia, her sisters Bubbles and Buttercup, her father Patriarch, or anyone else she knows anymore! All I want, all I ever wanted since you were taken away, was to be left alone to live my own life outside the shadow of the Powerpuff Girls!"
Much to everyone's stunned disbelief, sobs can be heard from Steve's wristband.
"Is she... crying?" Bubbles asks.
"Don't cry. I, Mojo Jojo, need your unique powers to help me-"
"That's just it! For years all I wished for was a way to shut off my mind link with Blossom, but I never could! You have no idea what it's like, against your will to have every thought and memory of someone you hate get forced into your mind whether you're awake or asleep, if she is in the same city, or even in another dimension, or even when she is on her honeymoon night with their husband, and you have no choice but to know everything she's thinking AT ALL TIMES! I can't even begin to fathom how I haven't gone completely insane yet, and now here I am on some dead planet trying in vain to help you take over an entire galaxy when I know we've already set ourselves up to fail!"
"Please don't say that. Things are difficult now, but we will triumph this time!"
"Oh sure, the Powerpuff Girls have only defeated us an uncountable number of times before, what makes them think they can do it again? I've had enough Mojo. It's... it's over."
"What do you mean it's over? Nothing is over yet, for we are still carrying out my plan-"
"I'm leaving. I'm going back to Earth."
"You can't go! I, Mojo Jojo, still need your help, and if you leave you will be unable to assist me any further. Don't go, Blossom Younger... I love you!"
"When you first admitted that to me, I was dumb enough to actually believe that. You were like the father who took me in after Motrax abandoned me as a failed experiment. Now I know the truth; all you love is my ability to spy on the Powerpuff Girls for you, a power I am glad I know how to shut off now. Good-bye Mojo. When you've finished fooling around on this planet, try to convince the Powerpuff Girls to go easy on you."

"Well..." Timo said in disbelief. "... this is news to me. I thought Imposter liked spying on you Blossom."
"It's not like I know how she feels, but I know it's not good to know everything someone else does and thinks." Blossom said. "It'll eventually drive you crazy."
"I'm a bit worried now." Bubbles said. "That Sunshine saw Professor. What if Sunshine tells Mojo he's there?"
Timo looked at Bubbles. "It is a bit risky now, but the Professor knows what he's doing. The good thing is that he also knows that robot can see him."
"I guess so." Bubbles said.
"Shh..." Steve said. "Something's up."

'That robot has just pointed out the Professor to Imposter', Steve stated. 'I don't know if she'll tell Mojo or if the robot will'. The room was silent. In Mojo's lair, the Professor waited with the same question. 'Don't tell Mojo', she whispered to Sunshine as she walked past. 'And don't acknowledge my reply.' The robot was silent. Imposter walked off to a spaceship and got into it. 'So he's safe.... for now', Blossom commented. 'It depends on Sunburn's programming', Steve replied. 'And while we're about it, we don't know for sure what the other spaceship is do we', he stated. 'If he is programmed to obey Mojo above Imposter'. Buttercup said, 'then he is still in danger.' Steve nodded and looked at the screen. It was silent now, just the sounds of basic laboratory doings. 'Well, we've got a fix. But if it's bad for radiation and in mountains, then we need a spaceship. I don't fancy running into some of those Ults', he added. 'But they describe me as the Pretty Lady', Blossom commented. 'So, they've got taste', Steve smiled. 'But what about the radiation?' 'This is our dad and Angel's grandad', Bubbles commented. Blossom looked at her. 'True. And he's making up for...' Angel chipped in. 'If Imposter wants to get rid of seeing all of Mummy's thoughts, then the one person who can do it is here.' She pointed at her Dad. 'I wonder if she'll change sides in return for help?'

Mojo is heard on the radio flying into a rage, throwing things, breaking others, and howling like an enraged monkey!
"Curse you, Powerpuff Girls! No one, not even they can stop my plan! This unstoppable plan cannot fail, for I, Mojo Jojo, know the truth about the war between the mutants and the aliens, and with this knowledge alone can Mojo Jojo turn the tide in my own favor, which will mean the end of the Galactic Federation, the unity of all mutants on FL-49, the rebirth of this planet under my rule, and the beginning of my rule of the entire universe!"
A loud explosion is heard, followed by Mojo sounding concerned and scared. "Imposter? Blossom Younger? No!"
"What was that?" Professor Utonium whispers into the one way radio, following Mojo outside. "It's Patriarch! He's got Imposter!"
"Let her go this instant, Powerpuff Patriarch!" Mojo says angrily. "She is no longer a threat to you and was just leaving this plant to-"
"Shut up, Mojo! By my right as an Enforcer of the Galactic Federation, I hereby use my authorization to use lethal force to bring you down! I'm starting with her, then you're next!"
"No! You let her go without harming her, or you will face the consequences!" Mojo's voice says, actually sounding terrified over the radio!
"What consequences? I've got nothing left to lose, because of you! The Federation betrayed me, my mission to restore FL-49 is a critical failure, and after this I am leaving the Enforcers! Even if I were to succeed, I have no choice but to turn this planet over to its rightful owners, the mutants, which would result in my expulsion anyway. As I said, I've got nothing left, and soon, neither will you!"
"Patriarch, let her go." Professor speaks up, having taken position behind him. "She no longer has anything to do with this. Killing her would not fix anything."
"Listen to reason if you will not listen to me, Powerpuff Patriarch!" Mojo pleads.
"Is this what your sister would want you to do?" Professor asks him. "Do you think the girls would want you to do this? Killing Imposter would only make you a monster, just like Mojo."
"My sister is dead, Professor. I foolishly drove her away because I trusted the emperor over her. Blizza took Xanocite and Matriarch away from me in one act of betrayal, and it was entirely my fault! I won't make that mistake again, not when the lives of the girls are at stake!"
"You are making that mistake again if you kill her." Professor says to him calmly. "You said you drove your sister to hate you before she died because you didn't trust her over Blizza. I want you to trust me now, Patriarch. Do not do this. Let her go. The girls can hear us right now, and I'm sure they are wondering what their father will choose to do."
"You are their father, Professor Utonium, not I." Patriarch says, the sound of Imposter being dropped to the ground is heard. "I don't deserve to call myself that, or anything in relation to the girls. I was a fool to come here and try to take this planet for my own. I was a fool to bring you here to help me, and I was a fool to think the girls would rather live with me on a strange planet instead of on Earth with their friends, their own families... and their real father."
"Are you all right? Please speak to me!" Mojo says, obviously to Imposter.
"She'll be all right Mojo. Patriarch's attack knocked her unconscious, but she'll recover."
"I suggest you start talking, right now." Patriarch says, hints of both anger and sorrow in his voice. "Tell me everything I need to know, and speak up so the rest can hear you."
"The mutants of FL-49 were the first to declare war against the Galactic Federation fifty years ago, when they attacked and killed one of their ambassadors as ordered by the leader of the udds in the fortress, a mutant calling himself The Great Kai'zhar. When I first came to FL-49 after Imposter aided in my escape, I attempted to make contact with Kai'zhar, but he believed me to be a Federation spy and attempted to destroy me!
After that was when I learned the secret behind Chemical X and the ults, and decided to make an offer to the stronger, more deadlier mutants of FL-49 to join me in exchange for greater power than they already had, and they agreed, provided the power I could provide them was to their satisfaction. Indeed it was, for Chemical X makes the ults stronger, and can even lead to an evolved state of ult the mutants call a gol. Gols are savage beasts compared to ults, but they are also savagely loyal only to me, Mojo Jojo!
Once the ults and gols were united and gathered under my command, I was to use Sunshine to send a distress signal that would bring the Galactic Federation's Enforcers to FL-49, where they would be lead right into my trap! With the Enforcers gone, I would send the ults back to the Federation colonies in their starships and begin the sequential destruction of the Galactic Federation, which would involve my loyal ults destroying and irradiating all of their colonies, until the Federation was broken and defeated!
With the Federation destroyed, I would prove to Kai'zhar that we shared a common enemy all along, and with that enemy crushed, I would again request his loyalty to the New Galactic Order of Mojo Jojo! His only choices would be to join me and usher in the golden age of mutantkind, or be destroyed like the Federation by my mutants!"
"Then you got overconfident, and used Sunshine to lure the girls here." Patriarch says.
"Imposter is right; you deliberately set yourself up for failure, Mojo." Professor replies.
"Perhaps in my hubris I believed that I would be obliged to tie up the loose end being that as a supervillain on Earth, I, Mojo Jojo, was never able to destroy the Powerpuff Girls and take over the world! Imposter tried to tell me to leave the Powerpuff Girls on Earth, warning me that the two of you would be difficult enough even without them, but I did not listen to her, and now she lies unconscious at my feet... the woman I love. The woman who should rule at my side, not as my henchwoman, but as my queen... my wife. Alas, she does not want to rule the world, she only wants to live in peace."
"Perhaps we have something in common after all, Mojo." Patriarch says. "At least you haven't lost her, not yet."
"The serum you used to cure Imposter of her Chemical X mutation is the key to saving this planet. Tell me how to make it!" Professor Utonium demands.
"I will NEVER tell you my secrets, Professor Utonium! My formulas are MINE, and mine alone!" Mojo's lowers his voice. "However, if I am allowed to take Blossom Younger and leave FL-49, I will make the serum for you."
"Agreed. Patriarch?"
"Very well. I've taken too many lives in the name of 'justice' already."
"Give me a few moments, and wait here. To prove I will not lie, I, Mojo Jojo leave you that which I care for most until I return."
"He... he left Imposter here... with us!" Professor says in amazement.
"He knows I would break her, and then him, if he tries to double-cross us. It will be easy for me, like snapping a toothpick."
"You made the right choice in sparing her, Patriarch." Professor says a moment later. "The girls will be very proud of you."
"They shouldn't be; I'm a terrible father. I could never have raised them to be nearly as good as you have. Thank you."
"You need to have more faith in yourself. You came here because you wanted to give something wonderful to the girls."
"I did, but I failed miserably."
"It may not have worked out the way you wanted, but isn't it the dream of every father to give the world to their children. You simply took it... well, a bit too literally, no offense intended."
"None taken. I was too late anyway; you already gave them the world back on Earth."

Steve didn't speak straight away about the situation that they were all hearing. He knew that Patriach was the girls father in a way and it was up to them how they treated him after all this. At least he realized that, he thought. 'I hope Mojo does not try to double cross anyone', Blossom commented. The other girls nodded their agreement. But what of Imposter? What part did she play in all this? Steve had realized how to stop Blossom's thoughts entering her brain and after a simple but time consuming operation on Imposter, it would stop for good. Basically, he would swap two blood vessels over so that the blood would flow the opposite way around her brain. She would have no ill effects, but the thought transfer would end. It would have to be her who underwent the operation, but the effect would be permanent. He knew a very good surgeon to help him as well. Mr Titus Augustine had performed a kidney transplant on him years ago, alongside Dr Kulkarney. 'Steve', Angel said, waving a hand in front of his eyes. 'What', Steve responded, re-awakened from his thoughts. 'I said that we should not let Mojo leave', Blossom stated again. 'He'll only start another hair brained manic scheme?' 'We'll find him when he does', Buttercup answered. 'True, but it's better to put him back behind bars', Steve replied. 'Trouble is we can't contact the Professor'. 'But we can contact Imposter', Angel stated. Steve looked at her and then at Blossom. 'If she'll help us, then I can cure her little problem and you won't have to wear that', he stated, pointing to Blossom's helmet. 'I wonder if she will still be the one girl in Mojo's life then?' He kept the rest of his scheme quiet, as it may put her off if she knew that she'd have to have an operation. Why tell her everything. He wondered if Dr Saw could help him if they did the operation here. He also wanted the thought transfer stopped for Blossom's sake. 'At least, I don't think we can contact The Professor', Steve thought, looking at the device and around the laboratory. 'I suppose we're stuck here until The Professor returns', Blossom stated, 'unless we try some mad scheme and risk the radiation. But one other thing to think about. Gol's and Ults are being made more powerful by Chemical X. So Anitdote X should have the opposite effect.' 'Yes, I was thinking that too.', Steve stated, reaching into one of his pockets. 'But who's going to get close enough to try it?'. He had three tablets of Antidote X in his hand. Blossom just looked at him and smiled.
Cheers,

Timo was highly surprised at Mojo and thought about something he thought he'd never do. "I'm... not so sure we should chase Mojo after this."
Bubbles looked at Timo wide eyed. "What? Why not?"
"I know that he might just start another crazy scheme if we let him go, but there are now two things we have to consider." Timo said. "First of all, the Professor's and Patriarchs promise. I'm pretty sure you girls don't want to break that promise. We'd be no better than any villain then. We have to honor their promise to leave Mojo alone. Secondly, I'm not sure if you noticed it, but I think Mojo really cares about Imposter. I don't know if it's because of her powers."
"You do realize he just might be faking it, don't you?" Buttercup said. "Just so he himself could get away."
"Maybe." Timo said. "In any case, what Mojo does next will decide whether we'll go or not. If he doesn't double-cross us, we'll stay put. Otherwise you can forget what I just said."
Something else bothered Timo and Bubbles was the first notice this. "What is it, Timo?"
"I was thinking about Kai'zhar." Timo said. "He truly hates the Federation and he's determined to destroy everyone sided with them. Furthermore, it seems the Federation truly did have a reason to think the mutants on this planet were hostile since it was Kai'zhar who started it by killing that ambassador. We may have to deal with him too before we use the weather machine."

"Here it is, the same serum I invented and used on Imposter after she broke me out of Townsville's prison following the first Anarchy attack, which ended with Anarchy's defeat by the Powerpuff Girls."
"Thank you Mojo. This will allow us to clear the Radiation X from FL-49 without affecting any of the mutants for good or ill."
"Now leave. I never want to see either of you ever again."
Mojo rubs Imposter's head to revive her as Blossom removes the helmet.
"Mojo? What's going on?"
"After giving it some thought, I have come to the decision that you were right all along, Blossom Younger. I am leaving FL-49 to Professor Utonium and going with you."
"Why?"
There seems to be silence for several moments. "Go ahead Mojo, tell her." Professor says.
"I do not care if you can read the mind of Powerpuff Girl Blossom or not, for I, Mojo Jojo, love you unconditionally, Blossom Younger, not in the way Professor Utonium loves the Poweruff Girls like his own children, but as the beautiful, wonderful, most important woman I have ever met in my entire life! If this is what you feel we should do, then we will leave FL-49 together."
"What the...? Are you asking me to marry you? We can't leave, not yet. Blossom removed the helmet and I can read her mind again. She and her husband are talking about performing some kind of brain surgery on me to separate my mind from Blossom permanently."
Mojo sounds hesitant for a moment over the radio. "If this is something you want to go through with, then I will not stop you."
"The ults are on their way here Mojo. Whatever you're going to do now, this is the time to do it!" Patriarch interrupts.
"We must leave at once. We will take the ship Blossom Younger stole from the Powerpuff Girls and fly it back to Udd City. From there, Powerpuff Girl Blossom's husband can perform the brain operation for Blossom Younger, which will free her mind from its link with the other Blossom."
"Sunshine, get in the ship. We're going to Udd City." Imposter says.
"Sure thing. Everyone hop aboard! Next stop, Udd City!"
The radio goes silent. Dr. Saw nods and starts to walk over to the entrance to the building.
"Ozzie, Mojo Jojo is on his way here with Professor Utonium and the Federation Enforcer. Direct them to the Butcher Shop when they get here." He says to the guard.
"Are you sure we should trust Mojo?" Ozzie asks him.
Dr. Saw nods. "He wishes to have Steve perform a minor brain operation on the woman he is bringing here. As a doctor of medicine, I feel obliged to help anyone sick or injured regardless of what they are or what they've done in the past."
"Very well, I will wait for their ship outside. I trust you know what you're doing, Seymour." Ozzie replies, holstering his shotgun and walking out the front door.
A couple of minutes later, the sound of a ship landing can be heard. "That must be them." Bubbles says, flying over to the door eager to see the Professor again. Professor Utonium, Mojo Jojo, Imposter, and Patriarch go through the door into Udd City, followed by Ozzie the security guard.
"The doctor will see you, Miss Younger." Ozzie says, leading her to the Butcher Shop.
Bubbles flies into the Professor's arms, hugging him tightly. "I missed you so much, Professor! I was so worried for you while we listened on the radio!"
"I missed you too, Bubbles." Professor says with a happy smile. Bubbles breaks her hug and looks at Patriarch, who has kept his head lowered at the floor since walking in.
"Are you all right? What's wrong?" Bubbles asks Patriarch.
"I'm sorry." Is all Patriarch says in response.
Bubbles can see by Patriarch forlorn expression his regret for everything that happened up to now. She hugs him softly and rests her head on his shoulder. "I forgive you... daddy."
Patriarch hesitates for a moment, finally returning the embrace. "For what I've done, I'm not sure I even deserve to be forgiven. Thank you Bubbles."

Steve stood back as all the girls cuddled their dad and made up with Patriach. He then looked at the stuff they had brought back and looked up at them. 'Tally Ho, Chaps. Well done, now let's get to work'. Steve put on his usual English wartime voice that he used when there was work to to. 'That means you're forgiven', Blossom laughed. Steve then addressed Mojo and Blossom Junior. 'Shall we do the operation?', he asked. Blossom Junior spoke first. 'What exactly are you going to do?', she asked. Mojo was nervous, so much so that he addressed Steve directly. 'Will Blossom Junior be harmed?' 'No. I'm just going to swap two blood vessels over. You'll sleep through it. Mind if we call you BY?' BY was nervous as well. 'Yes, OK. Just hurry up before I panic!' Stve grinned at them and went over to the bench. He poured something from a pot and gave it to the nervous girl. 'Drink this. It'll calm you down', he told her. 'Dr Saw, get the operating room ready.'. Dr Saw scurried off to get all the things they would need as BY started to get giggly and unsteady on her feet. Mojo guided her to a chair and she sat, giggling aimlessly. Professor Utonium and Patriach got on with testing of the serum. 'Anything we can do', Blossom asked. 'A nurse or two would be handy', Steve said. 'Buttercup and Bubbles, keep Mojo calm while we operate. The other two girls went to Mojo and led him into another room. They had never seen Mojo quite like this before.
Steve washed his hands and took his jacket off, putting on a robe. He then gave BY a little pat on her hand to get a blood vessel or two to stand out. She giggled at him like a little girl as Blossom and Angel lifted her onto a gurney. 'She looks just like me', BY giggled. Steve looked at her and at Blossom. 'My Blossom dresses better', he replied. 'Now, count backwards from ten', he added as he administered the anaesthetic. Between giggling, she stared to count down to zero from ten. She only got to six...
* * * *
When BY came round, the first things she saw were Steve and Dr Saw. 'Where am I', she asked drowsily. Dr Saw spoke. 'In bed. It's all done', he said softly. There was silence. Slowly, BY came to. There was silence in the room, and silence in her head. Blossom and Angel were there too, Blossom had been the nurse and Angel had been doing the important job - wiping the brows of the two men who had operated. Blossom didn't have a hat on and she called BY with her mind. There was no response from BY. Similarly, Blossom couldn't receive BY's thoughts. 'Thanks', BY said to Steve and Dr Saw. Steve offered her a drink and she accepted it gratefully. 'You've got a plaster on your neck where we went in, but the wound will heal and not leave a scar', Steve replied. 'Do you want to sit up?' 'Yes please. Is Mojo aware that it's done?', BY asked. 'He will be.', Dr Saw replied as Angel went to get him. 'I'm tired', BY said. 'I want to go back to sleep.' Blossom made the bed comfy and BY laid down. 'That better', she asked. 'Yes thanks', BY said drowsily. 'Blossom, I can't see us being bosom buddies, but let me give you one piece of advice. Don't lose Steve.' Steve smiled inwardly. 'I won't, I promise you that', Blossom said. 'Good', BY said as real sleep took over her, just as Mojo came in. 'She's sleeping now, but stay with her. She'll wake again soon and unlike this time, she will remember it'. Dr Saw told him.
* * * *
'This stuff works', the Professor said. 'It's time to go.' Patriach looked at him and Timo as the girls, Angel and Steve walked in. Dr Saw came in a moment later. Steve was putting his jacket back on. 'Are you sure', Buttercup asked. Steve looked at the stuff they had made. 'We want to be sure before we pour it on the planet!' Blossom nodded. 'Let's make sure that BY is alright first', she added. 'Then we can ask to use the Spaceship....'
Cheers,

During the operation, Timo had noticed how Patriarch was still down even after the girls' forgiveness and he went to him.
"You okay, Patriarch?" Timo asked.
Patriarch didn't answer.
"You don't need to blame yourself for what has happened up to this point nor should you feel bad about your intentions about making this a home for you and the girls." Timo said. "Everybody makes mistakes and we all lose someone we care about over time." he was referring to Patriarch's past.
"What do you know about losing someone?" Patriarch asked.
Timo was silent for a moment. "I don't really know anything, but I've experienced fear beyond any imagination. The fear of losing someone dear to me." Timo told Patriarch about the hardest battle between him and Dark Timo. How Dark Timo trapped both him and Bubbles and how Dark Timo had managed to wound him so badly and how Timo had stopped Dark Timo from killing Bubbles right in front of him.
Patriarch was silent for a moment. "All that just proves how much you care about Bubbles."
"Indeed." Timo said. "I love her so much that I can't bear if something would happen to her. I want to be able to protect her whenever needed. I want to make her happy. I wasn't really able to do that for a long time because of Dark Timo."
Timo looked at Patriarch. "I know you wanted to give this planet as a gift to the girls, but there are other ways to let them know you still remember and care about them. Also..." Timo looked at him seriously. "... you should learn from the girls' way of battling evil. It's not always necessary to follow orders. You don't have to do something you'll regret just because someone ordered you to. The girls fight villains like HIM, but do not kill them in the name of justice."
Patriarch looked at Timo.
"Heh... I know you're older than me, but I guess all I'm mainly trying to say is that you learn from your mistakes, live on bravely with them for the rest of your life and become better person. It takes courage to live the life you've lived so far."
Timo left to see how the Professor was doing, leaving Patriarch alone.

After some extensive testing with the purification formula mixed with Mojo's mutation serum, Dr. Saw and Professor Utonium both nod to each other, placing a chunk of pri flesh into the formula. This time, the flesh does not dissolve or change in any noticeable way. Dr. Saw looks at the mutated flesh under a microscope. "Everything seems normal. The radiation is gone, but the flesh of this pri has otherwise remained the same."
On a whim, Dr. Saw puts one of his own fingers into the mixture for a second before removing it. His finger remains normal. "I think it's working, Professor. This is what we've been striving for; the cure to Radiation X is complete!"
"All that's left to do now is load the new purification formula into the weather machine and take it back to the water pump at the museum." Professor Utonium remarks. "If we're right, with the Radiation X cleared from the environment, FL-49 should be revived, ripe for a new beginning for all your kind!"
"After you deal with Kai'zhar of course." Mojo Jojo interrupts. "He and his followers will still want to wage war with the Galactic Federation, and if the planet is restored, it will lead the Federation to come here and attempt to colonize the planet, where they will unwittingly begin the war between the mutant army of Kai'zhar and the Galactic Federation!"
"Mojo is right. We cannot allow the Federation to send their colonies here without dealing with Kai'zhar first. He will attack them on sight, and the Federation would be forced to take responsive action, which they would against all our kind." Dr. Saw responds.
"Then we bring this army down!" Patriarch says, slamming his fists together. "If this barbarian wants to fight with someone from the Federation, I'll give him one!"
"Do not be so hasty, Powerpuff Patriarch." Mojo says. "You are very powerful indeed, but you are still outnumbered and outgunned by this army. Your odds of success are slim to none if you attack Kai'zhar by yourself!"
"I've taken on worse odds than that as a kid."
"Maybe, but you will need assistance in this whether you think so or not!"
Blossom speaks up. "I agree with Mojo. We've seen for ourselves how well armed and organized they are. They'll be ready for us if we try to attack them."
"We need a plan." Buttercup says. "Got any ideas Blossom?"
"No... nothing comes to mind." She replies, a little unsure of herself. "If we had some way to lure them out of their fortress, then maybe we could catch them unaware, but how would we do that?"
Patriarch grins, an expression no one has ever seen from him before! "I think I may know what to do." He says walking over to Sunshine. "This is Enforcer Patriarch. I wish to contact the Federation High Council."
"Voice pattern recognized! I'll patch you right through to the High Council right away!" Sunshine replies, cheerful as ever. The picture on the screen changes from a happy sun drawn in crayon to a hooded figure with slitted eyes.
"Enforcer Patriarch? When your scanner went offline, we feared the worst had happened. What news have you to report?"
"Mission accomplished. We have a way to clear the planet of radiation." Patriarch says to the council through the stolen F.E.S. unit.
"What about the mutants?" The council asks.
"They're much stronger than we thought. I'd like to request backup, but not from the other Enforcers." Patriarch lies to the council!
"If not from the other Enforcers, than from who?"
Patriarch grins widely, knowing the council can't see the broad grin on his face. "I am going to require the aid of the High Guard for this one."
There is a delay as the words 'Communication Error' appear in place of a picture on the F.E.S. screen. A moment later, the picture of the council member appears again. "The High Council has agreed. The High Guard will be sent to FL-49 to aid you."
"Uhh, dad? What are you doing?" Buttercup asks, puzzled by Patriarch's decision to call backup from the Federation itself.
"There is a barren field on a hill overlooking a large fortress. That fortress is where the last of FL-49's mutants are holding out. They are too well fortified for me to go in alone." Patriarch says, lying once again to the council.
"Understood. The High Guard will land upon that hill and await further orders from you. We wish you luck, Enforcer Patriarch." The F.E.S. changes pictures back to the crayon drawing to represent that Sunshine is back in control.
"You want the Federation to help us? Why?" Blossom asks, not quite understanding Patriarch's plan.
Patriarch explains his plan. "The High Guard consists of robots like this F.E.S. and bear the mark of the Federation. They're going to be our bait! Kai'zhar will believe the Federation is sending robots to attack him and will come out of his fortress to engage them. If he thinks the war he wants has begun, he'll no doubt come out of that fortress to confront them personally!"
"So that's when we hit him, it's a great plan!" Blossom exclaims. "Professor, you take Mojo, Dr. Saw, and Sunshine and go to the Museum. Install the weather machine and the purification serum, but don't use them until we contact you again. By the time B.Y. wakes up, FL-49 will be free from both Radiation X and the threat of war with the Federation!"
Sunshine picks up the weather device and loads it with the new purification formula. "This is going to be fun! We get to save a whole planet and stick it to those uppity council members in the Federation! That wasn't a very nice thing for me to say about the High Council, was it? I feel sort of bad now." It says, even though it sounds as happy as ever.

Steve and Angel came in at this point, supporting B.Y, who had healed relatively quickly. 'I'm OK', she said to them, back to her original self, well almost. Her head was clear now and she was actually liking the feeling. Steve guided her to a chair as she still seemed a bit wobbly on her feet as far as he was concerned. She sat and listened to the tail end of the conversation, as Steve and Angel did as they moved over towards Blossom. B.Y. fell asleep in the chair. 'I hope that we aren't going to start a new planet with a war', Steve commented. 'We shouldn't do. We're just going to bring him out into the open for the treatment', Blossom told him. 'Isn't that right, Patriach'. Patriach nodded. 'Good. You seem to have been rather hung up on this Great Kia-zhar, and he was okay with us. Indeed, we wouldn't have got here without his help. We can't betray him or kill him as it would be unethical and would make us as bad as the federation.', Steve remarked. Mojo looked at him. 'You don't like war do you? The thrill of killing somebody in battle...' Angel cut him off. 'No, we don't. Every person that is killed has a family and people waiting for them. Remember that'. Blossom nodded. Steve's Grandfather had been wounded in World War 1 at the age of sixteen. Then there was Vietnam and the Falklands. No wonder really. The recent fights in Iraq and Afghanistan just made him very sad. 'Just don't let those robots attack unless we have to', Steve stated. He was a little worried about the picture on Sun-what'sit's screen. Why so secretive?
Cheers,

Timo was smiling. They were so close now and only one problem remained. Patriarch's plan sounded good. However, he was also worried as he looked at Mojo.
"I hope it works." Timo said. "Even one mistake or unexpected thing can be disastrous."
"What do you mean by 'unexpected'?" Bubbles asked.
"Things like ults or gols before they get purified." Timo said.
"Think positive, Timo." Blossom said.
Timo almost giggled. He then looked at Patriarch. "So... what will you... or rather what will we do when the Federation finds out you lied to them, Patriarch? Wouldn't they send a 'cleanup crew' to do what you should have done? Also... when this planet will be purified can the mutants live alongside the Federation?"
PS. Happy belated Birthday, RCBlazer!
